And how you go about this especially with your children watching matters a lot.
Marriage requires regular conversations about what is working, what is hurting, and what needs to change.

I just saw a dad get out of the car with his two young boys and he yells 'WHO CAN GO HUG MOM THE FASTEST?' and all of them start running towards their house. That's the kind of future I want.

Raising children while you're still healing, unlearning and teaching yourself the things you should have been taught as a child is a different kind of experience. You're trying to give your children what you didn't have while figuring out what you needed all along ❤️.

Parenting with your person>>>
Our youngest vomited in our bed at 3:30am. My wife and I calmly got up. I cleaned our child while my wife changed the bedding. Our child vomited again but we caught it in a mixing bowl. We laughed a little together and remarked how there is no one else in the world with whom we’d rather clean up puke at 3:30am. An incredible team. I love her very much.

Imagine a tiny human learning to say your name, running to you when they're scared, and thinking you're the safest place in the world. 🥹🤍

I believe the greatest gift you can give your kids is a calm home. It’s not the big house or the best toys that stick with them. It’s a place where they feel safe. Where mistakes are met with patience. Where voices stay low. Where hard conversations are always followed by repair. Kids absorb everything. Create peace and they'll carry it for life.

There's something beautiful about a child growing up surrounded by people who speak kindly to them, keep their promises, and make home feel safe.

Showing up for your children matters. You may not always have money to give them everything they want but your presence, time and involvement will stay with them long after the money is gone. Children remember who was there. ❤️

A child who grows up watching parents apologise, communicate, share responsibilities, and treat each other with respect learns something no lecture can fully teach. Children don't only listen to what we say. They study what we repeatedly do. The home is a classroom, even when nobody is teaching.✌️

Some children don't need another lecture. They need an adult who will sit beside them, listen without interrupting, and help them understand what went wrong.

May your home be a place where little feet run freely, laughter comes easily, apologies are sincere, and nobody has to earn the right to feel loved. 🤍
