Yeah, this is why I'm very suspicious of algorithmically generated maps being used for anything in redistricting; they're just as liable to haphazardly cut through communities as gerrymanders are, just without an explicitly partisan purpose.

Josh Turek's position on trans healthcare is to the right of nine red states. Medicaid covering gender affirming care has been *the* reason for trans people to vote blue. If I wanted to define "Dems abandoning trans people," it'd be "if/when Turek's position is normalized."

jesus fucking christ why isn't this a national story? they can cover twitch streamers for months but a congressional candidate getting raped in a politically charged assault barely cracks the local headlines??
Democrat congressional candidate Bernadette Greene-Placentia was hit over the head and raped in Maricopa County while repairing a damaged campaign sign in August.
