Man, just doing fundamental inferencing from what Couvillon said & other Deep South races, one HAS to conclude that Louisiana Senate is Likely R. Like, I know how silly that sounds. But the math of 12% GOP defection + ASTRONOMICAL black turnout legit adds up to a <4% race.
Replying to @ECaliberSeven
Right, forgot to account for that. Holy cow, a 12% defection of Trump voters - if that’s what Couvillon means - would actually make this race REALLY close then holy cow.

Per Marist’s Maine poll: 73% of likely voters said they β€œalways” vote in elections. 79% of registered voters said they β€œalways” vote in elections. What are we even doing here gang
I try to avoid criticizing other pollsters much nowadays, but this is ridiculous. This is basically just what you do if you don't believe your polls and don't have the guts to stand by your numbers. Democrats aren't doing 7% worse with likely voters in 2026.

Josh Turek's position on trans healthcare is to the right of nine red states. Medicaid covering gender affirming care has been *the* reason for trans people to vote blue. If I wanted to define "Dems abandoning trans people," it'd be "if/when Turek's position is normalized."

the fact that the reaction to a potentially key democratic vote in the senate saying he's against medicaid coverage of trans healthcare is anything less than "wow that's heinous, he shouldn't say that" is incredibly bleak
#IowaSenate AdImpact: Josh Turek releases new ad in which he opposes trans women competing in women’s sports β€œNo Iowan should face discrimination. As a Paralympian, I also know it's important to have rules.” β€œIt's why I oppose males competing in female sports ... I'm against taxpayers paying for sex changes, too.”

The "Mandela Effect" is an incredibly stupid "phenomenon" invented by people who refuse to accept that human memory just isn't very good. Every single one of the common examples is something that can be easily explained. I don't get what people find so interesting about it.
Replying to @Juche_Gang
It's not necessary a lie, it is a real psychological phenomenon, it has always been real that people remember things that never happened in mass delusion. It's called the Mandela effect. It's not lying, it's delusion.

jesus fucking christ why isn't this a national story? they can cover twitch streamers for months but a congressional candidate getting raped in a politically charged assault barely cracks the local headlines??
Democrat congressional candidate Bernadette Greene-Placentia was hit over the head and raped in Maricopa County while repairing a damaged campaign sign in August. "I need to let women know that it's okay to talk about it," she told me. Full story: phoenixnewtimes.com/news/con…

This is a professional reporter in Utah who, instead of reading the literal email screenshot to know expulsion hearings were never planned, just treated captions and conservative podcasts as gospel. This is so disqualifying I don't think I can trust Heidi's reporting ever again.
Expulsion hearings scheduled today for two Republican U of U students have been delayed. According to Andrew Kolvet on β€œThe Charlie Kirk Show,” Nick Sortor contacted the show Tuesday night seeking attorneys to represent the students. Sortor said Erika Kirk then paid to retain legal representation for both students. The students were notified this morning that their expulsion hearings had been delayed

That is a mass grave. You are calling for building a mall on a mass grave
Can I just say… I despise this. Just two open wounds in downtown Manhattan that we failed to rebuild. We could’ve built a beautiful 9/11 memorial and still built back the twin towers bigger and better than before. Instead we have these gaping holes, a monument to the weakness and incompetence of the people running NYC. Honor the victims and REBUILD.

I could not disagree more. Those are not β€œgaping holes” left because New York was too weak or incompetent to rebuild. They are the actual footprints of the Twin Towers, deliberately kept open as hallowed ground. We understand this instinct elsewhere. We did not raise the USS Arizona from Pearl Harbor, polish away the scars, and pretend nothing happened. Some places are allowed to bear witness. The World Trade Center was rebuilt. But where thousands of human beings entered those towers one morning and never came home, we chose something different: absence itself. The water falls into a void that can never be filled. The names of the dead surround it. You stand where the towers stood and confront what was taken from us. That is not weakness. That is remembrance.
