His message comes as Ukraine continues expanding its domestic long-range strike capabilities, seeking to bring more of Russia’s military-industrial infrastructure within reach. For Kyiv, these operations are intended to disrupt the facilities, logistics and resources that sustain Moscow’s invasion, while forcing Russia to devote additional air defenses to protecting its own territory. Zelenskyy also made clear that Ukraine has no intention of absorbing Russian attacks without responding. “They strike us every day, and we will retaliate every day. The scale of our response will continue to grow.” The warning reflects a broader shift in Ukraine’s strategy: reducing its dependence on foreign-supplied long-range weapons while increasing its ability to strike military targets deep inside Russia. 🇷🇺 RUSSIA’S OZON SUFFERS $373 MILLION IN LOSSES AFTER DRONE ATTACKS Russia’s e-commerce giant Ozon has disclosed approximately $373 million in estimated losses following fires linked to drone attacks at 11 logistics facilities since August. The figures, published on October 28, cover destroyed merchandise, damaged equipment and associated expenses, exposing the growing financial consequences of the war for Russia’s commercial infrastructure. For a company built around rapid deliveries and enormous inventories, losing a warehouse means far more than repairing a damaged building. Products disappear from circulation, customer orders are cancelled, sellers lose access to their stock and shipments must be redirected through already busy distribution centres. Ozon experienced similar disruptions following an earlier attack in Omsk. The financial burden extends to thousands of businesses relying on the platform. Sellers face lost revenue while awaiting compensation, and rebuilding damaged facilities requires new equipment, labour and substantial investment. Insurance may soften the impact, but Ozon has warned that compensation might not cover the full extent of its losses. The company remains profitable, recording approximately $46 million in quarterly net income on revenue of around $5.2 billion. Nevertheless, $373 million in estimated damage is equivalent to more than eight times that quarterly profit. The broader economic consequences are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Russia’s war is imposing costs beyond military expenditure, with commercial supply chains, inventory management and civilian businesses also absorbing substantial financial damage. Even after the fires are extinguished and damaged facilities reopen, the destroyed goods, disrupted deliveries and money spent rebuilding cannot simply be recovered overnight.
