Go for quality in everything you do and everything you get involved in. Humans are valued through perception. If you don't tell people you're broke, no one will know. And even when a situation demands money from you, if it doesn't fit your budget, don't do it unless it's health-related, Everything else can wait. The worst thing that can happen to a man is letting his poverty become obvious,obvious in the way he talks, dresses, speaks, and walks. People won't place any value on you. You don't need to announce to every ear that you're going through a rough patch. There's a reason I started this post by saying everything you do must be quality-driven. I did that on purpose. A quality-driven life can shield you from letting your poverty show. You may not have food at home or a fat bank account, but when people see the business you run, or the interior of your apartment, they won't judge you just because you're soaking garri with groundnut. You don't have to live and walk like the problems you're facing. Don't beg. Go for quality and stick to your budget. It's better for people to call you stingy than broke. They may see where you live — how nice and spacious it looks but they won't see that you're low on cash. It's better they think you're stingy for not meeting their demands than think you're poor. Wear nice shoes. Nice clothes. Buy good phones. Smell nice. No matter how expensive they may seem, don't settle for less go for it. Save piecemeal by piecemeal until you get the quality you want. Live like a king not because you have money, but because you understand that nice things are not only a function of money. They start with mindset, before budgeting and accumulation.
