A man with Touretteās thanking people for their support after a week of global humiliation. A man apologising for hurt he never intended, while refusing to apologise for having a neurological condition he cannot control.
The continued harassment of him by Hollywood for his condition is sickening.
These are the same multimillionaires who scream about inclusion from red carpets and podiums, who clap for the sanitised movie version of disability, but recoil when confronted with the real, involuntary reality of it. They invited a man with Touretteās into the room and then acted shocked when Touretteās did what Touretteās does.
Thatās not inclusivity. Thatās hypocrisy.

I think it is abundantly clear that the elite multimillionaire class love to preach inclusion, acceptance and understanding of disabled people until they are actually confronted with disability.
They will stand on stage and applaud a film about the struggles of living with Touretteās. They will celebrate the awareness. They will congratulate themselves on being progressive.
But the moment they are faced with the hard, gritty reality of Touretteās uncensored and unscripted for all to see and hear, the tone changes.
Suddenly they are shocked. Suddenly they are appalled. Suddenly they are not quite as inclusive, accepting or understanding after all.
The mask of virtue slipped.
You invited a man with Touretteās into the room. You were made aware of his condition. You applauded him. And then when Touretteās did exactly what Touretteās does, you recoiled.
You cannot celebrate the story and reject the reality.
Touretteās is not tidy. It is not convenient. It is not performative. It is neurological. It is involuntary. It does not edit itself for elite comfort.
The irony is this. Touretteās is louder than ever right now. More people are learning. More people are asking questions. More people are understanding.
You tried to distance yourselves from the reality. Instead you amplified it.

We are witnessing with despair the iniquitous use of hunger as a weapon of war. Burning crops, stealing livestock, and blocking aid are tactics increasingly used by armed militias. As civilians languish in misery, political elites grow fat with impunity. It is time to sanction these abuses and hold accountable those who are responsible for it.

The domestic violence campaigner-turned politician, who has spent her career fighting for victims, has found herself the subject of abuse on an industrial scale over the past week that has put her in danger, and, in dark moments, left her wondering whether she should give up frontline politics for good and go back to the womenās hostels where her journey to champion vulnerable women and girls began.
Outspoken and a womenās campaigner, Phillips has long been a lightning rod, but when the worldās richest man, who owns a social media platform with 211m followers, starts trolling you as a ārape genocide apologistā, complicit in a what he claims is a ācover-upā of the most disgusting and sickening abuse, thatās a different order of attention, and danger. This week the female politician charged with trying to protect the actual victims of these unspeakable crimes becames subject to an avalanche of abuse - and threats - herself. It was undoubtedly horrific for Phillips, who tells me she felt physically sick and hunted as the tweets came raining down. And as everyone piled in with their outrage and indignation, where were the voices of the actual victims themselves?
It has been so vicious and noisy and fraught as the very serious matter of grooming gangs and the exploitation, rape and torture of young victims turned into a political battleground of finger pointing and point scoring.
