Hey @google I’d like to report an error. The lake that borders New York and Ontario is an international body of water, and it is widely agreed by the entire world, except one rogue leader, that the name of this lake is ā€œLake Ontarioā€ Grow a spine and fix it.

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

The world is on edge today because of this fucking moron. He’s a felon, a rapist, a pedophile now threatening to wipe out a civilization. A special ā€œFUCK YOUā€ to his enablers and the 77 million who looked at this ignoramus and said, ā€œYep, that’s our guy.ā€

Here’s John’s post. A man with Tourette’s thanking people for their support after a week of global humiliation. A man apologising for hurt he never intended, while refusing to apologise for having a neurological condition he cannot control. The continued harassment of him by Hollywood for his condition is sickening. These are the same multimillionaires who scream about inclusion from red carpets and podiums, who clap for the sanitised movie version of disability, but recoil when confronted with the real, involuntary reality of it. They invited a man with Tourette’s into the room and then acted shocked when Tourette’s did what Tourette’s does. That’s not inclusivity. That’s hypocrisy. Johnny has shown more integrity and decency in one Facebook post than that entire virtue soaked industry managed all week. – at Straiton, Scotland

I think it is abundantly clear that the elite multimillionaire class love to preach inclusion, acceptance and understanding of disabled people until they are actually confronted with disability. They will stand on stage and applaud a film about the struggles of living with Tourette’s. They will celebrate the awareness. They will congratulate themselves on being progressive. But the moment they are faced with the hard, gritty reality of Tourette’s uncensored and unscripted for all to see and hear, the tone changes. Suddenly they are shocked. Suddenly they are appalled. Suddenly they are not quite as inclusive, accepting or understanding after all. The mask of virtue slipped. You invited a man with Tourette’s into the room. You were made aware of his condition. You applauded him. And then when Tourette’s did exactly what Tourette’s does, you recoiled. You cannot celebrate the story and reject the reality. Tourette’s is not tidy. It is not convenient. It is not performative. It is neurological. It is involuntary. It does not edit itself for elite comfort. The irony is this. Tourette’s is louder than ever right now. More people are learning. More people are asking questions. More people are understanding. You tried to distance yourselves from the reality. Instead you amplified it. We are all thinking of you Johnny. We are with you. And support for you and for everyone living with Tourette’s is only growing. – at Straiton, Scotland

We are witnessing with despair the iniquitous use of hunger as a weapon of war. Burning crops, stealing livestock, and blocking aid are tactics increasingly used by armed militias. As civilians languish in misery, political elites grow fat with impunity. It is time to sanction these abuses and hold accountable those who are responsible for it.

ANALYSIS: The treatment of Jess Phllips over recent days tells me all I need to know about the epidemic of misogyny, sexual abuse and violence against women and girls that still plagues our culture. The domestic violence campaigner-turned politician, who has spent her career fighting for victims, has found herself the subject of abuse on an industrial scale over the past week that has put her in danger, and, in dark moments, left her wondering whether she should give up frontline politics for good and go back to the women’s hostels where her journey to champion vulnerable women and girls began. Outspoken and a women’s campaigner, Phillips has long been a lightning rod, but when the world’s richest man, who owns a social media platform with 211m followers, starts trolling you as a ā€œrape genocide apologistā€, complicit in a what he claims is a ā€˜cover-up’ of the most disgusting and sickening abuse, that’s a different order of attention, and danger. This week the female politician charged with trying to protect the actual victims of these unspeakable crimes becames subject to an avalanche of abuse - and threats - herself. It was undoubtedly horrific for Phillips, who tells me she felt physically sick and hunted as the tweets came raining down. And as everyone piled in with their outrage and indignation, where were the voices of the actual victims themselves? It has been so vicious and noisy and fraught as the very serious matter of grooming gangs and the exploitation, rape and torture of young victims turned into a political battleground of finger pointing and point scoring. Yellow Exhibition - Jurying Cathy Cardona’s @marcameg Jurying the "Yellow" Exhibition Thank you, Cathy, for the wonderful experience you shared with us. Your insights and appreciation for each piece brought new depth to the "Yellow" exhibition, enriching our understanding and connection to the artwork. We are grateful for your thoughtful reflections and the unique perspective you provided as a juror. Cathy Cardona’s experience as a juror for Creators League's "Yellow" exhibition provided a unique opportunity to explore the rich diversity of contemporary artistic expression. Every artwork presented conveyed a unique vision, demonstrating the skill, imagination, and emotional impact that define today’s art landscape. Each piece invited both reflection and admiration, making the selection process both rewarding and thought-provoking. Muriel Lherm’s "Deserted Embrace": A Surreal Exploration of Nature and Humanity Awarded a perfect 10/10, Muriel Lherm’s @muriellondon work captured viewers with its surreal and meticulous design. The artwork featured a miniature desert landscape seamlessly integrated within the folds of a pair of vibrant yellow lips, blending organic and surreal elements. This striking visual symbolized themes of internal exploration and humanity’s connection to the natural world, combining technical mastery with conceptual depth. The sandy textures and rich yellow hues offered a dreamlike invitation to ponder the vast landscapes within each individual, creating a lasting impression. @AllaAisling’s "Fragmented Self": A Powerful Reflection on Vulnerability and Strength Scoring a high 9/10, @AllaAisling’s artwork delved into themes of fragility and resilience. The piece depicted a cracked, fractured face set against a bright yellow backdrop, symbolizing both vulnerability and transformation. The sharp contrast between the face’s broken surface and the background’s warm yellow highlighted the delicate balance of inner strength and exposed vulnerability, resonating as an emotional testament to the courage required for self-reflection. The nuanced layers of this piece invited viewers to find their own reflections within its intricate surface. @McC3Kat’s "Dual Seasons": A Poetic Vision of Reality and Imagination Awarded an 8/10, @McC3Kat’s piece offered a harmonious blend of natural landscapes, capturing the essence of seasonal transformation through a symmetrical composition. By depicting contrasting scenes within one frame, the artist conveyed a sense of time suspended between two worlds—one real and one imagined. The figure’s integration into this serene, dreamlike setting added to the artwork’s depth, blurring the line between nature and self. Through its visual elegance and imaginative narrative, "Dual Seasons" sparked contemplation on the continuous interplay between reality and fantasy. @wolfgang_s386456 ’s "Wired Identity": A Thought-Provoking Look at Humanity and Technology @wolfgang_s386456 ’s work, which received an honorable mention, showcased the complexity of human connection in a technological era. Featuring a human-like figure connected to an illuminated globe by intricate wires, the piece evoked questions about modern society’s dependence on technology. The industrial backdrop and subdued lighting added a dystopian element, intensifying the artwork’s commentary on connectivity, identity, and the limits of human interaction in a digital world. This visually intricate piece invited viewers to reflect on the evolving relationship between humanity and the digital sphere. @SusanFallow’s "Quiet Solitude": A Minimalist Ode to Reflection and Calm Also receiving honorable mention, @SusanFallow’s artwork portrayed a lone figure dressed in yellow, seated quietly on a bench. The simplicity of the composition emphasized the figure’s introspection and solitude, while the muted yellow tones added warmth to the scene. This balance between melancholy and calm resonated with universal themes of isolation and peace, transforming a moment of quiet solitude into a powerful emotional experience. The empty space surrounding the figure allowed viewers to bring their own interpretations, making "Quiet Solitude" both intimate and relatable. The "Yellow" Exhibition: A Showcase of Talent and Depth The "Yellow" exhibition, curated by Creators League, provided a platform for a diverse group of artists to showcase their unique approaches and personal visions. Through her role as juror, Cathy Cardona gained insight into the breadth of contemporary art, where each piece told its own story through creative exploration and evocative symbolism. This exhibition underscored the importance of embracing a range of perspectives, affirming that contemporary art thrives on diversity, imagination, and the courage to explore uncharted territories.
