Directly from Parker when i talked to him: “i received special permission from Viking and Chevrolet to run this race. If even one member said no, it would not be happening.” Obviously im paraphrasing but that’s basically what he said. There was no Toyota deal.
Anyone know what happened to that Toyota deal

Damn just seeing this clip now. Expert work here by @dalejr Notice how he works nemechek up the track into 3 with a run so that when the high line gets back to him he can bail low on him & reconnect with that line & leave nemechek hung out & take the lead
Eagles suck so I've put on the 2010 Fall Talladega race just to feel something

The judge overseeing a lawsuit to remove signatures from the petition to eliminate racing from the Nashville Fairgrounds charter through a referendum vote has dismissed said suit after a Tuesday hearing. The judge ruled on Wednesday that the Davidson County Election Commission is required to verify signatures but does not require a process allowing voters to withdraw their names. Judge Martin also asked the legal petitioners, including Devra Bagwell, why she and those sharing her concerns couldn't reach out to the petition authors/respondants Restore Our Fairgrounds for removal and they stated that the ROF required an extra step of verification. Restore Our Fairgrounds canvassers have been accused of misleading would-be signers, telling them that racing has already been discontinued, or not disclosing that the petition sought to end racing. For their part, Restore Our Fairgrounds says pro-speedway supporters fear facing the voters out of fear of losing. Plaintiffs 'Decline To Sign' said it will move on to other potential legal remedies, including sending the matter to a higher court for review. DTS maintains that over 2000 signatures asked to have their names removed prior to certification in vain. ROF says the removed 542 names after conducting follow-up due diligence. 47,679 signatures were validated. 40,194 was needed to get the referendum on a future ballot. Restore Our Fairgrounds seeks to replace racing as a protected Nashville Fairgrounds activity with green space and affordable housing.
Seeking to have signatures removed from a referendum that seeks to upend racing at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway by placing it on a 2027 ballot, one such signer and a group organizing awareness about potential issues with the canvassing process will have a hearing on Tuesday.

Self made man going racing with a big name team in a struggling development series and infusing it with fresh interest with a legion of brand new fans. This is precisely what the sport needs. And I have to assume if you hate this, you just hate the guy for some illogical reason.

I don’t think anyone talks about how important this win was. 2020 was a terrible season for Kyle. Already eliminated from Championship contention, 3 races left, winning streak on the line & he found a way to keep it going. This win showed me how much Kyle cared about winning.

As someone who works in AI and automation, I'm putting all hands on deck to implement a program by Martinsville. SMT data is recorded live. If anything spikes past a certain threshold (g-forces, negative acceleration, a gyroscope that can track flips, etc.), the car number is alerted to senior officials. That way, they can pass the message along to the on-track personnel to know which drivers to check first. Logano's car is understandable since he was upside-down, but Herbst had possibly one of the hardest hits of the year and was one of the last to be attended to. That's not okay. This may help save someone's life down the road.
With respect to Riley Herbst, I went and clipped the 35 team radio after his horrible impact. You can hear the immediate concern they had for Riley and they were also dissatisfied with NASCAR's response time as safety workers attended to Joey Logano's upside down car. Riley had his left arm wrapped after the race but told USA that he was OK.
