1. Platform Operations Remain Stable
Over the past several hours, teams across MEXC have been actively engaging in discussions and coordinating with relevant parties to move things forward.
We know what many of you are most concerned about: Has MEXC suspended deposits and withdrawals? Are users' assets safe?
I would like to give you my assurance: deposits and withdrawals on MEXC have continued to operate smoothly. Our teams have also been actively assisting users who need help completing their transactions.
We have indeed seen an increase in withdrawal volumes, but everything has remained orderly. We sincerely appreciate the understanding and trust our users have shown MEXC at this critical moment.
2. Meaningful Progress with KYT Service Providers
At the same time, we’ve been working closely with blockchain analytics providers.
Elliptic, one of the world’s leading KYT service providers, has confirmed that MEXC Global has returned to the “Exchange” category in its systems. At this stage, the previous special risk classification has been removed, and MEXC is classified according to its business activities.

Listen there’s a lot of controversy around MEXC lately because they got sanctioned by the US
I want to be clear on one thing
I was never sponsored by MEXC or ever received any money from them so this post is fully unbiased
First things is MEXC is clearly still processing withdrawals for now as I have withdrawn multiple 6 figures at $50k at a time using ETH and all of them went thru
Second thing is you probably rather be safe than sorry and go ahead and withdraw for now
There’s a chance they are good in the long run since most exchanges operate outside of US and don’t really care about the sanctions
But there’s also the chance of a bank run or bigger sanctions and in that case all your money is gone
Make sure you select a chain that is available at the moment to withdraw because a lot of them have already been suspended

The real risk with $ZEC (unlike $XMR) is that it’s centralized slop, which makes it extremely vulnerable. Even though it offers the same untraceable on-chain transactions, its centralization means it’s far more likely to face restrictions from CEXs, countries, and regulators, just like what happened to $XMR. When that happens, it will trigger major panic and dumps.
$ZEC is trying to ride the privacy narrative while still staying connected to the centralized, non-private world. That won’t work. $XMR is 100% focused on privacy and isn’t trying to play both sides or suck up to regulators. It’s already built for the worst-case scenario, a world where everything gets heavily restricted or hacked, while $ZEC, due to its centralization, will get hit hard when that time comes (soon).
