Well, now that we've zoomed by 10k followers... let me reintroduce myself. I’m not a policy guy. I’m a builder who learned the system by getting my hands dirty. I’ve started businesses, made mistakes, burned time and money, and figured things out the hard way. Somewhere along the way, I realized the biggest leverage point wasn’t another app or funnel. It was helping people get skills that lead to real jobs. Now I build and advise trade schools. I work with workforce boards. I help founders turn “training programs” into actual pipelines to employment. Here’s the truth from inside the machine: The trades aren’t dying. They’re being ignored. And while we argue about college ROI, every city is quietly short on the people who keep the lights on, water running, and systems working. If you’re into skills over status and building things that actually matter, welcome. Newsletter and services below. tradeschoolsecret.com/

Day 295 tagging @mikeroweworks and bringing awareness to the trades. $250,000 a year fixing SCALES. Not bathroom scales. 😂 I’m talking about those massive truck scales at landfills, grain elevators, quarries and recycling facilities. Trucks drive onto them to get weighed before loading or unloading. Load cells fail. Electronics break. Scales stop working. And when a facility can’t weigh its trucks, business can grind to a halt. Imagine averaging $2,500 per service job and completing just 2 jobs a week. That’s $250,000/year in revenue over 50 weeks. Specialized training, calibration equipment and regulatory requirements, obviously. But think about this. There are people chasing the next billion-dollar app while somebody else is getting paid to fix a giant weighing scale. Which business would you rather own?

Hey @grok why does everyone in PE dress in blue suits, blue sport coats, blue quarter zips? See this video for reference.

Got invited to my first private equity (PE) happy hour today and immediately realized I didn’t get the dress code memo. 😂 Every guy in the room was wearing a blue suit, blue sport coat or blue quarter zip. And what did this dummy show up wearing? A BLACK SHIRT. Apparently navy blue is the official uniform of private equity. Nobody told me. 😂 @CLouvi thanks for the invite.

Trades baby, trades.
A nurse spends 4 years and around $60K to land a $100K job. A piercer spends about 6 months in free training. I have piercers on track to clear $180K this year. yet... Nobody wants to punch holes in ears. Last couple weeks our Nashville studio saw a jump in piercing clients. Same story every time. They went to other shops first. Turned away. No piercers available. A couple got sent to us by name. "Go to IRIS. They have piercers."

$200,000 a year fixing machines that CRUSH GARBAGE. I’m serious. 😂 Shopping malls, hospitals, hotels and warehouses use commercial trash compactors. Hydraulics fail. Motors burn out. Doors jam. And when the compactor breaks, the garbage doesn’t stop coming. Imagine averaging $800 per repair and completing just 5 jobs a week. That’s $200,000/year in revenue over 50 weeks. One specialized mobile repair business with the right training and equipment. Meanwhile, people are spending $200k opening restaurants. I’d rather own the company fixing the machine behind the restaurant. Am I crazy? Day 294 tagging @mikeroweworks and bringing awareness to the trades.

Shout out Sunday to @mikeroweworks to connect with @TS_Secrets who is one of the hardest working folks to spread the gospel for more blue collar workers and enjoy the fruits of their labor. America can compete!

$250,000 a year fixing GAS STATION PUMPS. 😂 Not installing gas stations. Fixing the pumps that stop working. Card readers fail. Nozzles break. Electronics malfunction. And when half the pumps at a busy gas station go down, the owner is losing sales every hour. Imagine averaging $1,000 per service job and completing 5 a week. That’s $250,000/year in revenue over 50 weeks. Specialized training, certifications and equipment required. But here’s what I love. Everyone wants to own the gas station. I’d rather own the business every gas station calls when customers can’t buy gas. Anyone know somebody doing this? Day 293 tagging @mikeroweworks and bringing awareness to the trades.

I’ll never understand people that treat there little dogs like children and put them in a stroller. It won’t stop barking and the lady isn’t saying anything to it. Make it make sense.

If you aren’t using my tribe bro Mike for your company trucks you are leaving money on the table
Before you approve the wrap on your new work van: Call the phone number on the proof. Scan the QR code. Make sure both go where you want. Fixing a file is a lot easier than peeling a phone number off a truck.
