Birthday parties. Funerals. Hospital visits. We're raising our kids to attend anything they're invited to that's meaningful to someone else, even if they might prefer doing something else. Always go to the funeral.

Founded in 1968, the journal Telos brought Critical Theory—Adorno, Marcuse, Gramsci, et al—to America.
More recently, two Telos editors served in the first Trump administration.

i went to arizona in august, at the height of summer, to answer a nagging question: why are there so many data centers, not to mention a water-guzzling chip factory, in the desert?

Unbelievable! James Talafreako allegedly told staffers he will implement a “GAY QUOTA” requiring 30% of all Texan kids be GAY.
Kids will be able to opt-in as gay. But if the 30% threshold isn’t hit, all remaining kids will be put into a GAY LOTTERY to assign who will be GAY.

I am once again hosting another makeup sale for Gaza with my dear friends and collaborators, just in time for the holidays! For a small donation to benefit a family in Gaza, it will be stocked with brand new La Prairie, Oribe, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Caudalie, the list goes on.
Far from being “cancelled” ivy wolk has been afforded many opportunities and magazine spreads in which to put forward something interesting about spending your formative years metabolizing on the internet into a symbol or rather sigil of network pathos. She has yet to do so.

Folks eating watermelon in Denton County circa 1910. Seeing this reminded me of former governor Coke Stevenson talking about the size of watermelons in Texas. Coke said that in Kimble county, his home county, that the watermelons were so big that farmers found it easier to blow holes in them with rifles in order to let their hogs feed on the contents. Coke added, "After thousands of hogs have been fattened in this manner, the rind is left intact and is used to shelter cattle through the winter. Usually one melon will house 200 head of cattle along with a few sheep and goats." Some accused Gov. Stevenson of "stretching the blanket," but we all know it's the God's honest truth.
