Europe must stand with the Iranian people.
Supporting their fight for freedom is not only our moral responsibility; it is also in our shared interest.
Sanctions against Iran’s regime are not enough. Europe must take further action against those persecuting the Iranian people and against the regime’s proxies.

انتخابات دیشب آمریکا درسی هم برای پهلوی‌طلبان دارد.
آنچه دیشب شکست خورد، فقط سیاست‌های دونالد ترامپ نبود. دیشب شیوه‌ی زشت و زننده‌ی سیاست‌ورزی ترامپیسم هم شکست خورد. فحاشی‌های رکیک، تهدید به خشونت، و افتخار کردن به وحشی‌گری.
مردم عادی چند سالی این رفتارها را تحمل کردند، به‌خصوص زمانی که اوضاع اقتصادی خوب بود. اما حالا چنان از این رفتارها منزجر شده‌اند که حتی در مناطقی که هیچ‌کس انتظارش را نداشت، علیه ترامپ رأی دادند. و کسانی که مروج و مدافع این شیوه‌ی سیاست‌ورزی بودند، امروز نه قدرتی دارند و نه آبرویی.

When children of families who fled communism and testified before our institutions about its oppression become violent mentally ill criminals —resorting to physical assaults, death threats, and clashes with police—all in response to an EDUCATION TABLE on a college campus?
America, we have a problem.
Our students need protection. And no, “punch her back” is not a security policy.
Imagine what would have happened if the police had not been there…
Protecting students is the responsibility of our institutions. But when propaganda replaces truth in schools, on TV, and across social media, we force students to do the job of those institutions—educating their peers while facing threats and violence.
Our students should not have to risk their safety because our institutions have failed them.

I strongly condemn Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement regarding Iran’s three islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb.
By endorsing the UAE’s territorial claims and referring to Iran’s presence on these islands as an “occupation,” Canada has taken an unacceptable position that disregards Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Canada should know better than to compromise the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity for the sake of economic and political partnerships.
The three islands are an inseparable part of Iran. Iran’s territorial integrity is not negotiable.
