ICE Pulled Over a Tourist From 2019. He Was Wearing a Washington Child-Welfare Jacket.
Olympia can't tell you who's on its payroll, but ICE can, apparently during a routine traffic stop.
On Monday, ICE's Seattle office stopped a car and arrested Stanley Robert Kungu Muthee, a Kenyan national. According to ICE, as reported by Fox News, he flew in on a B-2 tourist visa on Feb. 6, 2019, and simply never left. That's a seven-year vacation, and nobody even sent a postcard.
The kicker: he was wearing a Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families jacket and carrying a DCYF ID. Per Fox, he admitted he works there. DCYF confirmed he's been on staff since Aug. 16, 2024.
The state's defense is a masterpiece of bureaucratic shrugging. DCYF spokeswoman Nancy Gutierrez said he "provided the appropriate documentation when he was hired, which indicated he was authorized to work," including "a valid United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) number with no expiration date," and that the agency has "not been notified of a change in his status."
Translation: the paperwork was fine, so everything is fine. Never mind that, as DHS pointed out, a work permit is not the same thing as legal status and doesn't shield anyone from deportation.
ICE didn't bother with nuance. Its official account posted:
"AMERICAN TAXPAYER DOLLARS SHOULD NEVER PAY THE SALARIES OF ILLEGAL ALIENS!" and said illegal aliens have "NO BUSINESS" working in agencies responsible for American children.
To be fair, and somebody has to be, we don't know what his job at DCYF actually was, and he hasn't been convicted of anything. Overstaying a visa is a civil immigration matter, and he may yet contest it.
But here's the real question for Washington. This is the state that mails a ballot to everyone on the rolls, sues the feds over enforcement, and calls itself a proud sanctuary. If the agency in charge of foster kids can't spot a seven-year visa overstay on its own payroll, how many others are there? And would Olympia ever have found out if ICE hadn't pulled someone over first?
Five days before Election Day, it's worth asking who's checking the checkers.
So, Washington: should every state agency that works with kids be required to run E-Verify and a status check, or is "the paperwork looked fine" good enough?

This isn't law.
It's bureaucratic rule.
An inappropriate use of taxpayer money. And further dilution of actual medical care benefits to core Apple Health users.
Shameful.
The WA State LGBTQ Commission just sent an email announcing that the state's Apple Health program (Medicaid) will now cover the cost of "gender affirming" drugs and surgeries - FOR MINORS UNDER 18.
The Federal Medicaid program stopped funding these on Oct. 13th.
Apple Health will cover puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones (T and E), as well as SURGERIES for youth under 18.
According to polls, the vast majority of Americans oppose these medical procedures for minors.
Most Democrats know it is wrong to let teens interfere with their physical development, permanently modify their bodies, and make themselves sterile.
Yet the Democratic politicians in WA State are determined to enable the disfigurement of minors.
Teens under 18 still can't get a tattoo.

Let's explore more about if it's illegal to prop up ringer candidates. Earlier I posted that it in most cases it is, pointing to filing papers, political connections and campaign finance disclosures.
On pushback, I qualified that it depends how it's done. It's legal in many states but in practice it often violates the law.
Some states do have explicit laws against it. There is no federal law against it, nor is there any Alaska law against it - BUT:
- Every candidate must submit filing papers.
- Every candidate must submit campaign finance disclosures.
- Also, inducements or bribes to run (or withdraw) can easily break the law.
Here are some examples:
In New York (1976) a private citizen named Charles Rosen was induced not to run in a primary against State Assemblyman Alan Hochberg. This resulted in Hochberg's criminal conviction because as a public official, he abused his position by offering a thing of value to benefit himself.
Could this apply to any inducement of the ringer Dan Sullivan to run against the real Dan Sullivan in Alaska? Depends on whether anyone at all offered him a thing of value to run and especially if anyone holding a public position did so.
Here's another one:
In Florida, a man named Justin Sternad was sentenced to jail for misrepresenting where his campaign donations actually came from. He was running against Democrat Joe Garcia in the 2012 Democratic primary, but was secretly propped up by Republican David Rivera.
This scandal also included a woman named Ana who absconded to Nicaragua, $80,000 in payments, and of course, a U.S. congressman (Rivera) who got fined but no jail time.
Might such an illegality apply to any campaign contributions made to ringer Dan Sullivan in Alaska? Yes, if the reporting was in any way misleading.
Another area that could prove problematic are statements made on filing documents. These vary by state and office held. Each statement on the filing form must be honest and correct.
So while in some states (like Alaska) it is not specifically illegal to run tactical election interference by placing a candidate on the ballot to confuse voters it still depends how you do it.
At some point the guy has to be talked into doing it. If he received anything of value, depending on who offered it and how, it can violate the law.
At some point the guy has to submit filing papers. If he was untruthful about anything, it would violate the law.
At some point the guy would have to fill out campaign finance disclosures. If these were in any way deceptive, it violates the law.
One caveat: If it's true that the law firm of Marc Elias was involved, these are skillful (though odious) lawyers. They likely steered clear of traps.

#EXCLUSIVE: We Heart Seattle just exposed fentanyl smoking shacks inside taxpayer funded Low Income Housing Institute's tiny house villages.
But I was chasing this tip as well.
Recently, I point blank asked LIHI Executive Director Sharon Lee about these controversial "safe consumption" sites on her properties.
Instead of giving me a yes or no answer, listen to what she had to say.
@MayorofSeattle|@weheartseattle|@DiscoveryCWP
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Funding requires low barrier (drugs allowed), and “harm reduction” practices like this dedicated volunteer built tiny home to smoke illegal and lethal Fentanyl. Do the voters know they are paying for this and to be installed in their communities? Do our elected officials know @MayorofSeattle @CityofSeattle ? If @ExecZahilay @KingCoRHA @KCPubHealth called them “Safe” Consumption Sights” at least we could stop debating what some of these villages actually are set up to do. Transparency is accountability.

If the Democrats haven't figured out that Americans are extremely angry about the stunt they pulled with the border, they're beyond help.
If the Left gains control and grants amnesty, we should consider it illegitimate and act appropriately.

Federal prosecutors say they found 405 suspected noncitizens on Washington's voter rolls.
According to the feds, those 405 people cast more than 1,500 ballots in past elections. Some voted as recently as this August.
The U.S. Attorney calls it "the tip of the iceberg."
The DOJ asked Steve Hobbs for one thing: hold those ballots until citizenship is checked. Don't throw them out. Just hold them.
His answer? No.
He called the list "not reliable" and said holding the ballots would be "irresponsible and illegal."
Here's what gets me. Hobbs says there have been 15 noncitizen voting cases since 1982. One immigration attorney says he's handled 15 in just the last couple of weeks.
Somebody's not telling the truth.
If the list has mistakes, verify it. That's the job. Setting ballots aside for a few days hurts no one, unless you're scared of what you'll find.
Your vote counts. So does every illegal vote that cancels it out.
Ballots are due November 3.

Steven Crowder Asks a College LGBT President to Define Gender — The Debate Takes a Turn Over “Violence”
College LGBT President: People often confuse sex with gender.
Sex is associated with biological characteristics, including chromosomes, while gender relates to identity and social norms. Gender isn’t limited to just man and woman.
Steven Crowder: But intersex is uncommon. In anatomy class, how many fingers are humans taught to have?
College LGBT President: Ten, although some people are born with eleven.
Steven Crowder: Exactly. We teach what’s typical while acknowledging exceptions. So, how many genders are there?
College LGBT President: You can’t put a number on them because people use different terms to describe their identities.
Steven Crowder: I disagree. I don’t believe people can simply choose any gender and compel society to address them that way.
College LGBT President: What gender do you think you are?
Steven Crowder: I’m male.
College LGBT President: I think you’re a woman.
Steven Crowder: It doesn’t matter what you think.
College LGBT President: Exactly. I identify as non-binary.
Steven Crowder: Respectfully, it doesn’t matter.
College LGBT President: It does matter. My pronouns affect how I’m treated in society. You should use they/them pronouns for me.
Steven Crowder: And what if I don’t?
College LGBT President: I’d consider that disrespectful. Intentionally misgendering someone is an act of violence.
Steven Crowder: So you believe misgendering someone is an act of violence?
College LGBT President: Yes. Trans women, especially trans women of color, face high rates of murder. Intentionally misgendering someone could put them at risk.
Steven Crowder: I don’t understand. I’m sorry, I don’t understand. I think that does show that you’re

Um...Elon's landing rocket ships backwards and building flying cars, you stupid communist.
