Brewers offense shouldn't be defined as "relentless" but instead should be defined by "stealing your wife, kids, dog and soul while smiling on their way out the door..." -- dagger blow halfway through G3

The @Angels completed one of the most extraordinary #WorldSeries comebacks OTD in 2002 …
Trailing 3-2 in the series and down 5-0 in Game 6, the Halos would rally for 6 runs across 2 innings, going on to win the game 6-5! 😮
They also went on to win Game 7 to win their first World Series in franchise history.

If there was a Mount Rushmore of ball writers, Ross Newhan would be on it. He was a giant in the biz, a Hall-of-Famer who spent much of his 43-year career covering @MLB for the LA Times. He was a mentor to myself and so many others, a friend to all. Ross died today at 89. RIP💔

Final: Colton 48 (8-1, 2-0), Rim of the World 17 (3-6, 1-1) -- Colton earns a playoff berth with the victory
Halftime: Colton 34, Rim of the World 10 -- Koa Regalado contributing on all five Colton touchdowns, threw for 248 yards in the first half
End 1: Colton 20, Rim of the World 3 -- Koa Regalado has 192 all-purpose yards in the first frame, Colton has run nine plays from scrimmage
I crossed the railroad tracks for some San Andreas League action, Colton (7-1, 1-0) hosts Rim of the World (3-5, 1-0) with a playoff berth on the line -- currently in a weather delay due to lightning
Roger McQueen's first goal/point erased by tripping penalty, which is what we will forever remember following his lengthy and productive career, obviously

For my old friends at @BaseballAmerica, I compiled the sizes of each team’s scouting staff.
Note that many teams frequently renowned for their technology and analytics (Dodgers, Rays, Brewers) also have some of the largest scouting staffs in MLB.

Brady Tkachuk's return to Ottawa is sports cinema, if someone is willing to play the heel then marketing should embrace the villainy on a national scale and push to all audiences -- Perry, Marchand, Tkachuk, hockey needs villains and this is gold

John Mozeliak said that the Angels will be hiring a full-time GM for the 2027 season. It won't be him.
He said that process is still in its early stages. They haven't interviewed anyone yet.
Mozeliak said the new manager would be hired after the GM.
