This one maybe as bad or worse than the PHP ones. Get used to lots of patching.
we've found and have been working on disclosure for a remote code execution in a widely-deployed compression library. it's both an impactful issue and an example that shows how complicated it can be to coordinate patching, since it's integrated into a lot of downstream software:

Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

โš ๏ธ Node.js is vulnerable to remote code execution. CVE-2026-111497 (high): A Node.js process that decompresses attacker-controlled Brotli data can be made to leak memory or run arbitrary code. Youโ€™re exposed if your app or a library decompresses bad Brotli data (e.g. the built-in fetch(), body-parser) Aikido detects this. Patches are available.

Never bet against Ethernet... โ€œA big new focus of UEC 1.1 is extending support to scale-up networks,โ€ Tom Emmons, Chair, @ultraethernet Consortiuml Technical Advisory Committee, told me. โ€œThis includes a simplified transport protocol appropriate for scale-up networks, along with a number of options to improve packet efficiency.โ€ networkworld.com/article/423โ€ฆ

8 years of game development, and some kid with claude code + chatgpt is making games not far from my quality. AI can give everyone the tools to succeed while simultaneously making success harder to achieve. Itโ€™s like spending years climbing a mountain, only to discover that someone built a road to the top while you were climbing.

Brands are looking to get their own gTLD in @ICANN new round of names. Big brand like @adidas , @Cloudflare and @Airbnb (think .adidas...) oh every crypto thing so .bitcoin will be a thing. And of course AI and its cousin SuperIntelligence with .agent, .llm, superintelligence, .prompt, .mcp, .openai, .anthropic all under consideration. โ€œThe last time ICANN accepted applications for new gTLDs was in 2012,โ€ Marika Konings, vice president, New gTLD Program lead at ICANN, told @NetworkWorld . โ€œSince then, ICANN and the community have worked to make adjustments to the next round of the New gTLD Program.โ€networkworld.com/article/423โ€ฆ
