Windows 11 is finally getting closer to letting users move the taskbar.
Microsoft is testing an option that allows the taskbar to be placed at the top, left, or right side of the screen instead of keeping it at the bottom.
The feature is currently being tested with Windows Insiders and is getting closer to a wider release.
Microsoft removed this option when Windows 11 launched, so users have been asking for it to return for years.

Game Science’s art director and co-founder Yang Qi says there is no rush to use AI to speed up development of Black Myth: Zhong Kui and was inspired by Christopher Nolan
Yang said the game’s design and asset-production stages will stay away from AI-generated content, explaining that this isn’t because the studio is against AI, but because they want to stick with their current approach.
He also praised Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, saying he was deeply inspired by how Nolan continues to achieve major results using older filmmaking techniques.

Brazil is officially joining the Stop Killing Games conversation.
Congresswoman Jandira Feghali has introduced Bill 3612/2026, inspired by the Stop Killing Games movement.
If passed, game publishers would have to ensure players can keep playing their games even after official support ends. The bill would also update Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code to better cover digital games.
This comes just days after Congresswoman Erika Hilton called for an investigation into Sony’s plan to stop releasing new PlayStation games on physical discs

Netflix is reportedly looking at adding always-on TV channels to its streaming service.
Instead of choosing something to watch, you could just turn on a channel that plays movies or TV shows all day, similar to traditional TV.
The company is also thinking about letting people sign up for other streaming services through Netflix, similar to how Prime Video lets users subscribe to services like Paramount+ or Max.

Microsoft is adding a new AI called Facilitator to Teams that listens to meetings and can answer questions before people ask them.
The AI listens to what is being said during a meeting and if it notices that a question has not been answered or that more information could help, it can automatically post a reply in the meeting chat.
The AI does not speak during the meeting or interrupt anyone, only shares information in the chat.
The feature will be turned off by default.

A former Microsoft engineer has created a new text editor called TinyRetroPad, only 2.5KB in size
Dave Plummer, who created Windows Task Manager during his time at Microsoft, said Notepad was originally designed as a basic text editor, while WordPad handled more advanced formatting.
He believes Notepad has become too complicated over the years with features like AI writing tools.
TinyRetroPad is written in x86 assembly and based on Matt Power’s Tiny Editor (DTE). Despite its tiny size, it can open and save text files, change fonts, and print documents using Windows’ built-in features.
“No bloat. No telemetry. No nonsense. Just pure old school Windows done right.”

Meta is adding a monthly usage limit to one of its smart glasses features.
> Conversation Focus, which helps you hear people more clearly in noisy places, will now be limited to 3 hours per month for free users.
> To get up to 15 hours per month, users will need a Meta One Premium subscription, which costs $19.99 a month.
Users are mad because Conversation Focus works directly on the glasses and doesn’t require an internet connection. Some users have questioned why a feature that runs on the device now has a monthly limit.
Meta says this is the only feature affected “for now.” Other AI features, including the voice assistant, live translation, and “Look and Ask,” will remain free.

If you use Hide My Email to keep a real address off people-search sites or away from someone dangerous, treat that anonymity as unreliable.
