BREAKING: Ron Baron on @elonmusk and Terafab today: "He’s the biggest job creator in the country. And you have people who are speaking against him and all he cares about is, you know, why does he work all these different hours, crazy hours and sleep four or five hours a night. He has been responsible for reindustrializing our country. And so it’d be a bad thing if we were in America reliant on silicon, only coming from Taiwan. He’s probably the only person in this country who is able to build things at scale, at attractive prices. Only one. Talking about Terafab. That happens to be a hundred million square foot building. He’s the only way to build these things at scale. And and when he does that, that’s job creation. He’s creating hundreds of thousands of jobs and making not just making people more successful and giving them better life, but hundreds of thousands of jobs, millions of jobs."

I need a Ring connector for @bot, but instead of that, my Ring agent and I came up with something useful for monitoring all the AI-enhanced messages coming to my iPhone. Sharing so others can benefit. Estimate an hour to get this working if you aren't a Shortcuts expert. batch-phone-alerts-to-a-bot-…

Replying to @LeadingReport
For what? Pointing out illegal fraud? Outpacing NASA in space exploration? Providing internet to 3rd world areas? Trying to help blind people regain sight? Creating self driving, sustainable cars? My goodness the people that govern us are just the worst humans.

Pomp said it best. Give Elon a problem to solve and let the man cook.
It is obvious that @elonmusk is Chief Problem Solver of America. Give him whatever resources he needs and get out of his way. I explained on @AmericaNewsroom this morning.

Prime member since 2005. Amazon blocks my personal AI assistant from reading my own order status; the emails just say 'household item,' and the order page lumps everything into 'Delivered' or 'Not shipped.' So I end up doing the tracking by hand. Give Prime members a read-only way to let our assistants see our orders. @AmazonHelp

I think everyone else frustrated by this should also let Amazon know. Here's the longer letter: Hello, I've been a Prime member since 2005, and our household orders from Amazon several times a week. Lately, Prime has become too much work to use. I don't want to track packages in the phone app. I want detailed shipping emails like you used to send. It was helpful when Google could tell me what was arriving, but now the emails just say "household item," which tells me nothing. Even when I'm signed in myself, I need to see what was delivered today and what hasn't arrived yet, not one big "Delivered" bucket and one "Not shipped" bucket. So when Grok Bot came out, I started using a personal AI assistant to track our orders, Subscribe & Save deliveries, and packages for two accounts, mine and my husband's. It only reads our own order history and shipping status. It doesn't scrape, resell, or buy anything without me. Yet Amazon tells me I'm violating the terms of service, which almost no customer actually reads, and blocks my assistant. Now I sign in to both accounts myself and paste the information into my AI assistant so it can do the tracking. That's a waste of my time and defeats the whole point. Please give Prime members an approved way to let their own assistant view their orders, such as a read-only order-tracking permission, an official API, or a setting that allows a trusted agent. Other retailers are starting to welcome customers' assistants. I'd rather keep shopping with Amazon, but I'm willing to switch. As I told my college kid, either get with the program and learn to use AI, or get left behind. Maryann Miller

I am quite upset with @amazon and @JeffBezos. In August, Gmail lost the ability to show me which packages were being delivered. All the data started to get generic tags like "household item" instead of what it really was. This is not to protect me. This is to protect Amazon. When @bot came out, I started using them to figure out what's coming down the driveway. Now the bots can't work properly on Amazon either. This is 2026. Wake up and make a reasonable policy for @bot that stops blocking reasonable use. I have spent my personal time this morning scraping my order info and handing it to the bots, and I am mad. Money talks, and those of us who start to rely on bots will switch to companies that are willing to work with them.

A little extra fun for today's YouTube video. @don_nc and I had a lot of fun with the kids @Center4EE yesterday.

I am a fan of jewelweed. I didn't know it could combat poison ivy rash. Good to know! Hummingbirds love this stuff at Yates Mill.
Have y’all ever heard of touch-me-nots? They grow all over Western North Carolina. Some folks call them jewelweed because after a rain, water beads up on the leaves like tiny little jewels. But Mamaw called them touch-me-nots. And once you touch the seed pods, you’ll know why. They explode, scattering seeds everywhere. Hillbillies have been using touch-me-nots for generations for poison ivy, stinging nettle, bug bites, and just about anything else that made your skin itch. It’s a little trick picked up from the Cherokee. Some folks crush the stems and rub the sap right on the itchy area. Others make soap from them. And before you discount it as folk medicine, know this: modern testing shows that a leaf mash actually does reduce the severity of a poison ivy rash. Sometimes the old ways work. 😉

I sure hope Elon is getting an amazing amount of data from our @bot usage. Just got done training my bots not to put short columns at the end of a sheet after a long misc, not-always-filled column, explaining that humans would not see or look for it there. It's all this little stuff we take for granted. New data at the top so we don't have to scroll for forever as new rows are added.

Yesterday, I fixed the @bot document organization problem I was having with an HTML page with links to the Sheets and Docs master copies. Today, I created a Google Calendar just for the bot schedules. How can I tell if stuff happens or not, check when it happens, modify action times, etc. when I forget what we have scheduled? The bots maintain their calendar, and I only turn on that color (Google) when I want to see it. Win-win.
