So many Xabi hate tweets yet no one mentions how he has fixed our defense post the International Break & conceded only 4 goals in last 4 games. Before the break, everyone complained about it & when Xabi fixes it, he gets 0 praise. He will get things right & I believe in him!! UTC

The majority of fans wanted him so give him the time to work. Criticise fine, but leave it at that Don’t ask for a manager to turn on them this early

I really like this thread. I’ve been thinking and writing about this issue since FlamengoTV started broadcasting matches internationally, especially from a fan-acquisition perspective. For me, football itself comes first. Good football is probably the most powerful international marketing tool you can have. And Flamengo saw that recently with the goal against Botafogo: one extraordinary piece of football went viral around the world and put the club in front of people who otherwise might never have watched a Brasileirão match. I also really like your point about building the infrastructure around the product. What LaLiga and the Premier League do with their international data and media centres is incredibly important. Give foreign commentators the stories, stats, player backgrounds, national-team connections and context they need to actually explain the league to somebody discovering it. The problem in Brazil is that Flamengo has essentially decided not to wait for the league to get there. We’re closer to having something resembling a proper league structure, but there is still a long way to go. Recent discussions have repeatedly become consumed by revenue distribution and political disputes instead of how to collectively improve, package and internationalize Brazilian football. Ending with CBF taking the lead. So Flamengo is increasingly doing it on its own. It’s obviously not ideal. A centralized Brasileirão operation doing this for every international broadcaster would be much more powerful. But until that exists, Flamengo can build part of that infrastructure itself for people discovering and following Flamengo abroad. And that's where I think the opportunity gets really interesting: don't wait for international fans to discover Brazilian football first and Flamengo second. Let Flamengo be their gateway into Brazilian football.

If Flamengo are serious about expanding their international fanbase, I’d look at partnering with an English club. Both clubs could help build a presence in each other’s countries, promote one another, collaborate commercially and even explore football development/scouting.

Arsenal fans had to watch Chelsea win the PL five times, win the CL twice, complete Europe and win the club World Cup to complete football. Let our little brothers have one season to celebrate

🚨Breaking: Protest Update: We would like to announce that further protest action is being planned. In light of recent events and the continued erosion of the values that once defined Chelsea Football Club, we believe “it’s fucking obvious” sustained action is required. Since the first protest we have engaged with numerous fan groups and organisations. We recognise that not everyone feels comfortable standing outside the ground protesting, but we would welcome the support of those who, like us, believe the current state of the club and the direction it is heading cannot continue. One of the key reflections since the last protest is that the message must be aligned and the fanbase needs to be united. It is clear to us that the current ownership are not listening. They do not care about supporter concerns and they are jeopardising the future of our football club. Our message is simple. BlueCo / Clearlake Out. We are currently finalising the details of the next protest. We are also looking to organise opportunities for fans who may have concerns about protesting but still want a space to share their frustrations and engage with others who feel the same way. We also want to be clear that the message on the day must remain focused. The protest is about the ownership and the direction of the club. That means: No Tottenham songs No chants about former or current players No chants about former or current managers All of our energy should be directed at the same message. BlueCo / Clearlake Out. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
