FPL - How to put yourself in a position to get lucky: I’ve had a lucky start in FPL 26/27. After two Gameweeks, my FPL team is ranked 3,600th overall. But to get lucky, you also have to put yourself in positions where luck can actually pay off. Like many other managers, I committed to the BB1 + WC3 strategy, allowing me to build a short-term team with high upside. I’ve deliberately chased extreme outcomes: - No players facing each other in GW1 and GW2 - Choosing high xMins players with strong predicted points - Chasing covariance: triple ARS defence, triple MUN, double CHE attack (and triple Sunderland…) - BB1 with high-upside picks, including De Cuyper, which turned out even better than expected You can’t control luck, but you can control how much upside you expose yourself to when it goes your way. That’s the approach I’ll continue to take throughout the FPL season.
