No, Americans won so they don't need to bother with knowing about that stuff.

but why is it *your* business to know what your colleague is earning?

That's one reason I'd never want to work there. Learn to value your time and labour correctly and grow the spine to actually ask for your worth.

Pay is always fair. Why? You know the number you signed up for. If someone else was asked what their salary target was and they valued their time and labour more than you did in their own heads when for a higher number than you did, it's still fair: you could've asked for more too, instead you undervalued yourself.

And what you suggest is serious government overreach. This is a free market economy. Those are self-regulating. For example, if Epic's game store was actually better, people might actually switch. No, instead the only people using Epic Game Store are the fortniters.

"allowed" It's your own choice to enter that agreement with Steam. If your game will be big enough, you can negotiate with Steam on the cut they take. But 30% isn't much. Brick&Mortar retailers also took 30%. The seller on Amazon you're buying your game from? Also takes 30% (distributor price for new AAA games is 40-45 dollars). Steam has the userbase, exposure and content delivery network that you can't just spin up for that 30%. 30% is fair.

In the age of cloud computing and elastic scaling your website dying is embarassing and just a sign of incompetence.

Read the motherboard manual. It will list the recommended slots. Usually it's 2-4.

Spending an extra 30% of the original dev budget to try and get the game in a not-so-sorry state is just embarassing. If it hadn't been for the hype that had been built for years and the success of Witcher 3, people would not have stuck around waiting for 2.0.

Could also be manslaughter - knowing he'd get a heart attack just getting it up.
