Half of Europe, Taiwan, the US and the EU are all telling people to stock up on food, water and flashlights.
Japan just declared a state of emergency in cyberspace.
Iran is threatening the undersea cables that carry the internet.
And the biggest lab company in America just got hacked.

If the Pentagon is telling U.S. bases to be ready to operate autonomously for 90 days it means you should be prepared for a complete collapse of every normal day to day function you take for granted for at least double that time frame.
SITUATION UPDATE: Following GMO Internet's refusal to pay a $50M ransom, the hackers behind the breach have promised to trigger ransomware covertly planted on customers' PCs via the cloud. GMO is urging users to unplug network cables, and power off their PCs before noon today.

Iโm starting to think weโre dangerously underestimating the possibility of a cyber pandemic. Our money, hospitals, transportation, communication, and even water systems depend on vulnerable digital infrastructure. The terrifying part isnโt that hackers could take down one system. Itโs how many other systems could fail alongside it.
