But Bayern's xG has been 92%(!!!) higher than Athletic Club's over the last 5 years.
Put Williams in Bayern and pretty sure he would hit similar numbers. This is why descriptive data are often misleading. Predictive > descriptive 🔮

Coaches signing their ex-players is literally the stupidest thing in football. It's like only dating girls from your hometown. Chances of them being the best match for you are like 0.01%. It's just easy and unambitious.

100% agree. As a Brazilian club you just have to put a 16 year old on the pitch who can ball a bit and you'll always have stupid clubs falling for this. I don't think he's bad but he's more of a Real Zaragoza level player than a Real Madrid level player in my book... 🇧🇷🔮

The Swiss second division is definitely one of the most fun leagues to scout in and the talent is there (Andi Zeqiri & Archi Brown in recent years for example). Franck is one of the best bargains I've seen on the market recently, great player on video and the data backs it up! 🕵️♂️

I have scouted enough international games to see the sheer difference in physique between countries, it's the same reason why more than half of the French NT have African roots, despite them representing less than 10% of the population.
