習近平国家主席は10月27日、日本の福田康夫元首相の遺族に弔電を送り、福田氏の逝去に哀悼の意を表し、遺族にお悔やみを述べました。
習主席は、「福田先生は信義と責任感を備えた日本の政治家であり、中国人民の古くからの友人でもある。長年にわたり中日友好を心に掛け、正しい歴史観を堅持し、在任中に中国側と中日間の第4の政治文書に署名し、両国関係の発展に向けた重要な原則を明確にした。福田先生はボアオ・アジアフォーラムの理事長を務め、アジア地域の交流・協力の促進に重要な役割を果たした。中国側は中日関係とアジアの発展のために福田先生が果たした貢献を銘記する。遺族が福田先生の遺志を継ぎ、中日友好事業に引き続き尽力されることを期待している。
日本の為政者には、先輩世代の政治家たちが注いできた心血と努力を大切にし、中日間の四つの政治文書を厳守し、二国間関係の政治的基盤を確実に守ることを望む」と述べました。
