Chinese FM Wang Yi said at the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of FOCAC held in Changsha: China and Africa, as the largest developing country and the continent with the highest concentration of developing countries, are pivotal forces of the Global South. The more the international situation becomes marked by changes and turmoil, the more China and Africa should uphold solidarity and self-reliance, firmly stand on the right side of history, actively guide the direction of the times, and respond to uncertainties in the world with a stable and resilient China-Africa relationship. China and Africa should: — Uphold mutual support and assistance, and serve as defenders of Global South solidarity; — Adhere to openness, and act as champions of international free trade; — Commit to mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and be partners in global development cooperation; — Uphold fairness and justice, and stand as defenders of a just and equitable international order; — Promote exchanges and mutual learning, and contribute as facilitators of civilizational diversity.
