This week Tim Martel will be talking about the AECB Standards and the Retrofit Step-by-step approach. It can help you decide the route you could go down, and the benefits available. You can still book your place: buff.ly/41xz7Yv
2nd version of RICS PS for Whole Life Carbon now out! Fortunately I have until July to put it into PHribbon! And I will also increase the number of PHribbon Options (Scenarios) from 4 to probably 10.
How many people think that the AECB PHribbon Embodied CO2 should be able to model up to 10 options/scenarios not 4? It would need a fair re-write, and I'm not sure I could make it compatible with previous versions. Or what other features would you like?
PHribbon aecb.net/aecb-phribbon/ v5.15 now out with 10 more EPDs, can use PHPPv10 extra large U-values, new 2023 CO2 factors, can specify a material supplied is 2nd hand and TDUK's end of life scenarios for timber.
kenoteq.com/ do a 95% lower embodied carbon brick "k-briq", and they are working on an EPD they say will be ready at the end of the summer - will be added to AECB PHribbon!

As @KevinClimate says there are no ‘non-radical futures’ left
Offsetting CO2 emissions is necessary - but if you completely rely on it then it becomes a bit like this....

What? No Carbon Emissions Bill? Withdrawn 14th Mar or other info suggest the day after the first reading. No reason given, no media coverage about it at all. It was going to have its 2nd reading tomorrow.

Made time tonight to watch the intro to @the_phnetwork’s PHribbon you include here. Super exciting to see how this it includes #EC3 database, adds @EPA electric grid factors + structure for full end of life analysis. This is where policymakers need to be heading. (@CalEnergy)

🙂 If we have that EU-label of nat.gas = sustainable you shouldn't be surprised to see such advertisement all over Europe. That is, why this is not responsible: @BMWK
US version of PHribbon now launched, which I'm the software developer for, many thanks to Building Transparency, Ken and Steve at PHN and the AECB. lnkd.in/eGTvj9Dy

Jane @constructionlca a quick question about Embodied CO2 calcs. If a material is expected to be reused at the end of life then we include it in module D, beyond the boundary of this calc. But if it is from a recovered source in this calc do we just omit A1-A3?
