This is clear evidence of vote method shifting. 4 of 4 primary voters are essentially guaranteed to vote in this midterm. Turnout gaps will show up among low-propensity voters, not here. Here's how the 2020-22 post-pandemic comparison looks.

We can’t discount the suppression impact of releasing late internal polls that favor a particular candidate or party. It’s a campaign tactic and media/press should view with caution.
A potential issue for Democrats…the recent polls may be deceiving because Republicans aren’t as likely to talk to pollsters:

My client for Illinois Comptroller with a strong closing GOTV message - if the Pope can get out to vote…then so can you. That’s a message both sides of the aisle can appreciate! 🗳️
Nearly 2,000 years of popes, and now one has an Illinois ballot. You can’t make this stuff up. 😂🇻🇦 If he can vote from ROME, you can make it to the polls! BANK YOUR VOTE. Then bring five friends! 🗳️ Drewforillinois.com

The battle for this seat less than 2 hours away from Sacramento, currently held by retiring GOP Congressman Mark Amodei, has been anything but typical from the start.
Inside Elections today moved #NV02 towards Democrats again, the third time in less than three months. Lean R -> Tilt R

With Election Day next Tuesday, voters in Nevada’s 4th Congressional District are weighing a Democratic incumbent against a Republican challenger as concerns about affordability, border security and day-to-day representation dominate the race. bit.ly/4zV5u3j

Sen. Ruben Gallego is on the road to campaign for Dems in states like Nevada. If he were a Republican, reporters would preface stories or posts about him with descriptors like “controversial”, “accused adulterer”, “scandal-ridden”.

One week away from Election Day! The grind doesn’t stop, and I’ll never stop working for you. If you’re sick of the direction California is headed, then let’s make a change together. I’d be honored to have your vote. #AD40

Gavin Newsom caught on video admitting that the DSA is "going to be dominant" and “mainstream” - Horsford campaigned with him & AOC. Nevadans need someone to represent them, not someone like Horsford who aligns with Newsom & AOC.
UNDERCOVER: GAVIN NEWSOM SAYS THE DSA IS "GOING TO BE DOMINANT" AND "MAINSTREAM" IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! "The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant. I mean, that's going to be a mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question about that." That's California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential candidate, speaking to an undercover journalist while campaigning in New Hampshire. Asked by a "younger voter" who said "we don't want Kamala Harris, we want more democratic socialist policies": "No one is arguing to manage the status quo and fail more efficiently." "You can't play in the margins anymore. The system's broken. It's completely unbalanced, and we can't manage the decline. We have to completely reimagine."

The closer we get to Election Day the more I see in the polling a big distinction among key races - are the candidates in these Dem on Dem races trying for the “out party” voters, or not? And is it working? - Caruso endorsing Bass could be more significant in the LA Mayors race than people are thinking - polling has shown Raman leading, but that could be undone if those Spencer Pratt voters begrudgingly check the box for Bass as the lesser of two evils. Can’t think of a better vehicle for this than Caruso. - Very few Republicans are voting in the Ins commissioners race - has to be tough to get Republicans to even know who the “better” Dem is in a down ticket statewide race, and voters also are so upset about the entire insurance market. I predict largest undervote in state history. - If you look at CA 4 (Thompson), the challenger Eric Jones seems to be more actively courting Republicans (wouldn’t commit to supporting @RepJeffries for speaker!) while in CA 7 (Matsui) challenger Mai Vang is all in on the progressive vote, even doing a podcast with Hassan Piker, so clearly not going for the Rep crossovers. - One race where I could have gotten it wrong… not seeing as much drop-off in the CA 6 (Kiley - Independent) race. More Republicans are skipping but not to the extent that I was expecting. Still a strongly Dem favored race with Dr Pan ahead. Kiley has to fight two wars: one to hold the Reps and one to pickup Dems and Left-leaning independents… all in a seat Kamala won by 6%. Looks like he may be holding the Reps… but that’s still not enough. This article outlines more of the how/why with this top two dynamic… capitolweekly.net/is-the-und…

In bipartisan GenX terms…this disgruntled staffer is so not cool.
Rep. Mike Thompson's former staffer TJ Adams-Falconer cuts an ad for his challenger in #CA04: "Thompson's been there too long. ... Mike Thompson told me directly he plans to die in office. I was Mike Thompson's former communications director and I would vote for Eric Jones."

If Prince William was heir to the throne in 1776…we might still all be British here across the pond.
Prince William was undoubtedly on top form during his recent guest appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which aired this evening. I particularly loved his opening anecdote about a gentleman who mistook him for the legendary musician Prince during an engagement. Credit: BBC

GOP lead halved by most recent Clark mail dump. Now 1K for the day, Dem lead is 11.4K overall.
End of 1st week of in-person early voting is nigh in NV. Friday shaping up as a pretty big day for Republicans -- they are up 2K votes right now statewide. We will see if any late mail dumps help Dems. I'll have a post up later this evening. About 30% or so of total vote in.
