#Cardano fam, as scaling is a current topic of conversation again.
Wanted to remind you all of the concept of the “SuperNode” that will become a reality for @Cardano & its partner chain, off-chain, Hydra, Mithril, roll up model.
During an interview I had with @IOHK_Charles a few months ago the conversation steered towards Hyperledgers Firefly Node its capabilities & what it allows for. Link below:

Hyperledger FireFly is a multi-party system for enterprise data flows. It provides a purpose-built system upon which to build decentralized blockchain applications. It solves for the layers of complexity that sit between the low level blockchain and high level business processes and user interfaces.
In essence Firefly allows developers to build applications that are designed to work with multiple parties. Cardano’s SuperNode would look something like it.
Imagine a Dapp that’s has “state” in multiple different place. UI on @Cardano, state on @MidnightNtwrk, offchain elements, Hydra channels etc….
Imagine the how efficient & robust these Dapps would be? The capabilities they could offer?
Now imagine a @Cardano SPO running a SuperNode that validates for multiple partnerchains in addition to Cardano? Envision all the rewards earned by validating these protocols that then get past to their delegators. The growth in economic activity on Cardano would be immense! Cardano is selling and making profit on its greatest asset. It’s decentralization & security.

"Godfather of AI" Geoffrey Hinton now thinks there is a 1 in 10 chance everyone will be dead from AI in 5-20 years
Weeks ago, we learned that Yoshua Bengio, another Turing Award winner, thinks there's a 1 in 5 chance we all die.
Hinton is worried about AI hive minds: “Hinton realised that increasingly powerful AI models could act as “hive minds”, sharing what they learnt with each other, giving them a huge advantage over humans.”
“OpenAI’s latest model GPT-4 can learn language and exhibit empathy, reasoning and sarcasm."
“I am making a very strong claim that these models do understand,” he said in his lecture.
He predicts that the models might also “evolve” in dangerous ways, developing an intentionality to control. “If I were advising governments, I would say that there’s a 10% chance these things will wipe out humanity in the next 20 years. I think that would be a reasonable number,” he says.
“He was encouraged that the UK hosted an AI safety summit at Bletchley Park last year, stimulating an international policy debate. But since then, he says, the British government “has basically decided that profits come before safety”.
“He says he is heartened that a younger generation of computer scientists is taking existential risk seriously and suggests that 30% of AI researchers should be devoted to safety issues, compared with about 1% today.”

Mullvad is registered in Sweden, which means it is based in the EU and in one of the 14-Eyes states that monitor and spy on their citizens to an extreme degree.
Mullvad has servers running everywhere in 14-Eyes states.
Privacy veteran Kuketz writes: “Mullvad currently uses Google for its email communications. I think this is inappropriate for a privacy-oriented VPN provider.” [1]
Mullvad works together with Amazon. [2] I wonder if they didn't have to promise the NSA something in return?
Strong cooperation with Firefox, not for long: Mullvad is allowed to use the tracking octopus Firefox browser (they have modified it, allegedly improved it), but Firefox now offers the Mullvad VPN as its “own” VPN. (Privacy X says that the Firefox browser can no longer be trusted - for other reasons). Firefox comes from the USA (5-Eyes), with all the obligations and secure connections that apply there.
After a long search, my favourite is IVPN. Not ideal either (registered in Gibraltar = UK = 5-Eyes); the team is supposed to be based in Berlin. However, they appear to be motivated activists, including the team (the only one actually), appear transparent, annual audits - exemplary. [3] IVPN accepts Monero, no personal infos needed.
