How long will this theatre go on?
While Canadians can’t afford food and homes, Mr. Carney has distracted for months with big talk about “Associate Membership” with Europe. Now, Europe has rejected it.
For the next two days, we will be distracted again from the cost-of-living crisis with wall-to-wall media coverage on yet another grand theatrical meeting to sign a bunch of meaningless declarations filled with big words (catalyze, anyone?) and promises to meet again to talk more. No one’s mortgage or grocery bill will come down.
We already have a free trade deal with Europe, Mr. Carney. Get the 9 countries who have not ratified it to do so. And get EU countries to let our beef into the continent and cancel their planned carbon tariff on Canada. Otherwise stop wasting your time and our money. Both are running out.

Another day, another letter. No deadlines, no consequences, and workers are still wondering what happens next.
Industry Minister Melanie Joly has sent yet another letter to Stelco saying the company has not provided enough information to prove they are compliant with their 2024 deal with Ottawa, including employment undertakings after the layoffs in Hamilton.
“The interim report repeatedly asserts compliance with the undertakings and, in several instances, provides only conclusory statements in support of that position. Assertions of compliance are not a substitute for the information and evidence necessary to establish compliance.” #cdnpoli

We cannot afford a repeat of Stellantis, where workers have been left waiting for months without action.
The Liberals repeatedly threatened legal action but have yet to follow through.
Hamilton steelworkers deserve a government that delivers action, not empty threats.

Strathcona Resources is proposing to ship up to 250,000 barrels of Canadian oil a day by rail to Prince Rupert and then on to overseas markets.
Only one thing stands in the way: Mark Carney's tanker ban.
Let’s create more 🇨🇦 jobs, get better prices for our resources, and be less dependent on the U.S. by voting YES to Conservative MP @DMcKenzieCPC's bill on Wednesday to scrap the tanker ban and put Canada first.

Congratulations to @LDoerkson and the @Conservative_BC on a strong majority mandate to bring common sense Conservative principles to British Columbia.
I look forward to working together to save Canadians money and jobs, lock up criminals, reduce immigration, and put Canada first.

I condemn the horrific terrorist attack on the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George in Karak, Jordan.
Opening fire on families mourning a loved one is an act of profound evil.
We stand with Jordan’s Christian community and pray for the victims and their relatives.
No one should have to fear for their life in a house of God.
Memory eternal.

Small businesses are the heart of our communities and the engine of Canada's economy.
This Small Business Week, let's celebrate and support the hard-working Canadians who take risks, create jobs, and build something of their own.
Conservatives will fight to make this a country where that entrepreneurial spirit is rewarded with a brighter future and an affordable life.

Every Canadian deserves to feel safe in their own home.
My Bill C-293, the Safe at Home Act, would make violent home invasion a distinct criminal offence, with tougher penalties including a five-year mandatory minimum sentence, a maximum life sentence, and reverse-onus bail.
It’s time our laws recognize the severity of these crimes and hold violent offenders accountable.

Spoke with Canadian Blood Services. I’m told there is no emergency blood drive currently in Wainwright but they are taking appointments starting Tuesday in Edmonton. There has been an outpouring of support to offer blood and O positive and O negative blood is the most versatile and in high demand. If you can give please call +1 (888) 236-6283
Thank you everyone for your prayers and for being there for our men and women in uniform at this difficult time.

My message to the 68,000 Canadians who lost their jobs last month: Conservatives will fight for you.
Our Economic Action Plan will boost hiring and save jobs. We will unblock resources, scrap taxes on fuel and reinvestments here at home, remove red tape, and make Canada the best place in the world to hire and boost pay.
Saving money and jobs.
