Interesting comparison. "focus on pedagogy first, technology second, if appropriate" - the key to pragmatic use of technology in education. #EdTech supporting #pedagogy (#PedTech). Ensuring #SAMR modification and redefinition not just for the sake of it.

Great ideas for teaching variables through dry running in this week's @cs4fn @cas_london_crc live lecture. Also a nice alternative for making learning memorable while you can't get real students up at the front using #lego mini-figures instead. teachinglondoncomputing.org/…

It prints out any tweets featuring those 'words'!
Finally got round to testing @microbit_edu wireless data logging using the Plotter in Mu. 'Dad v Kids' LEGO cart race as a trial for @BLOODHOUND_Edu #rftl timing.

Interested to find out more. We're doing lots of cross curricular computing/science at KS3 so might fit well. Can you DM me the details please as I don't seem to be able to DM you. Thanks.

I like the rub out and replace of a whiteboard. I wondered whether envelopes might work to stress there's only enough space to store one value. Nice to write the name on the outside of the envelope to highlight difference between name and value it represents.

This was a great event last year. Sadly clashes with a parent's evening for me this year, but well worth it if you are free this Thursday evening.
I’m hosting a FREE creative tech in education meetup this Thursday @codenodeUK with talks and tech from amazing people including @tanurai, @LMcUnderwood, @frazermerrick, @helenevirolan & @elbriedk. Free 🍷 and 🍕! Sign up - we have only 20 spaces left! #bett2018

Makes you wonder if we ought to have a GCSE that covers IT and digital literacy as well as computer science, eh?
