Democrats should do the Stefanik college president hearings in reverse. Get college presidents on the record saying that students have the right to peacefully protest and to say controversial--even offensive-- things. Get them on the record that scholars should not punished for their views and that universities will protect foreign students targeted for their views. Demand that the last three years of McCarthyism and cowardice end now.

Long time Exec Director of Mi Republican Party when it was the gold standard of state parties.
Tonight is likely to be a rejection of @MikeRogersForMI. All my tweeting aside, I’ve known Mike & Kristi for 30+ years, I know how much it will hurt to lose. If that happens, I hope they accept this in the spirit in which this is offered: You deserve to be miserable after the appalling bigotry you’ve spread like napalm. Go away.

No, I'm saying that your attempt to ignore years of Trump and the GOP repeatedly attacking our constitutional order by creating some fantasy of what you assert Democrats will do three years from now is a dishonest and partisan argument - and you, of course, know it.
So, to be clear, there's nothing so radical Democrats would propose that you would say "this is bad" rather than "but Trump." Which is my point.

There is no way - or should be no way - for the government to know whom you voted for. That's what a secret ballot means.
🚨 NOW: Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy announces there will be a FOLLOW-UP with voters who cast their ballot for the fake Dan Sullivan, to see if they meant to vote for the REAL Sen. Dan Sullivan If enough voters were duped, this should be allowed to FLIP the race in the GOP Senator's favor if Peltola's scheme steals the seat!

WTAF are the velvet ropes for????? This is Obama's Oval Office: an ambience and atmosphere that invites conversation, negotiation, and a quiet respite. It doesn't look like Trump's garish pro-wrestler's dressing room or a Turkish brothel.

This is like the epigraph for the entire Trump 2.0 presidency: β€˜β€™I don’t give a damn. We’re making a fortune’
TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

Well, it's true that I didn't write a *second* piece about Biden's pardons, probably because I was busy being appalled at Trump pardoning seditionists and rioters who attacked the Capitol and the US Constitution - as I feared he would: theatlantic.com/newsletters/…
Replying to @WildBillTony
Yes. He called Biden's December 2024 Hunter Biden pardon a "terrible idea," "dishonorable and unwise," and a "tremendous strategic blunder" in The Atlantic. No public record found of him raising similar questions about the January 2025 preemptive pardons for Fauci, Milley, the Jan. 6 committee, or other family members.

457 UK armed forces personnel died during the war in Afghanistan. Beyond those and US fatalities, a further 703 individuals from 30 nations were killed. Hegseth owes each of their families an apology.
Hegseth on Afghanistan: I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters. It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there. Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations. In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths. t.co/x4tGhxJiFG

Wow! If this doesn't get the cost of groceries and gas down, nothing will. Well done, Mr. President.
I am pleased to announce that the Department of the Interior, under the auspices of Secretary Doug Burgum, and in conjunction with famed Golf Course Architect, Tom Fazio, has developed a plan to build a World Class Championship Golf Course on the site of the current East Potomac Golf Links, located in Washington, D.C. When completed, it will be open to the Public while, at the same time, designed to the Highest Level of Golf and able to hold World Class Tournaments such as the U.S. Open, the PGA Championship, the Ryder Cup, and the Presidents Cup. This Course will create many Jobs, and have a tremendously positive Economic Development impact on Washington, D.C., and the surrounding area. Millions of Dollars will inure to the Capital area. The current Course is old, broken, dilapidated, and of no further use or effect. It is in very poor condition, with falling, dangerous, and disease infested trees and, importantly, a collapsing and hazardous seawall. When the East Potomac Course was originally built, it was famous for no trees, with views of Washington, D.C., for all to see, but now, it is completely overgrown, dysfunctional, and unsafe. Restoration work will begin on the Fazio Design on November 15th, when the old Course will be closed to play. The new Course will be opened in approximately 15 months. The United States Golf Association, PGA of America, and the PGA Tour have already been notified that they will soon have one of the Best and Most Spectacular Golf Courses anywhere in the World to put on their list of great places to play, and hold Major Events. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. You wrote a law giving Trump the unrestricted power to waive sanctions, and of course he used that power to serve his own interests. The irresponsible party here is Congress.
Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin. apnews.com/article/russia-sa…
