Transalpine Redemptorists

Father's First Solemn Vespers and Holy Mass.

Ordination to the Priesthood of Fr Benoit, Stellamarine.

Ordination to the Minor Orders of Porter and Lector.

Tonsure and Ordination to the Diaconate.

From 23 to 25 October, 2026, our Bishop Michael Mary, F.SS.R., accompanied by several confreres, had the joy of being able to impart the ordination to the Diaconate and Priesthood to Fr Benoit and the Tonsure and first Minor Orders to Br Laurent, both Stellamarines at L' Œuvre de l'Étoile, near Nimes, France. The work, begun in 1957, by the late Father Maurice Raffalli, has been without a priestly member since Father's death in 2020 at the age of 87. Having assisted at the first vows of the Congregation in the 1990s, the Coronation of the Image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and its later enthronement in the beautiful sanctuary built by Fr Raffalli, it has been a very great joy for us to spend this week here with our friends of so many years. Many people at the ordination spoke of the vast, quiet, almost hidden, but lasting foundational good Father did for many, many souls. Truly this little monastery is an image of paradise where the maxim that a Child of Mary is never lost is lived daily. The Stellamarines (Stellamarins in French) are very little known in the English speaking world, in France they undertake a remarkable holy work under the guidance of their superior general Rev. Br Paschal, very worthy of support. We hope that our friends will enjoy the many photo's taken of the the different Masses of Ordination and Fr Benoit's First Holy Mass which we share here in several posts in the coming days. Please excuse that the little film has a few glitches, travel and production work together with a little difficulty.

Over the last few days two of our confreres have been able to preach a small Mission in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad. Here at the little Mission of the Holy Trinity it has been an honour to meet this beautiful island's kind people and to bring them the Eternal Truths. Holy Tradition is for every soul, even the most abandoned who are sometimes overlooked. Here, a small group of faithful and their good priest are holding on to the True Faith with limited resources. Pictured: Our Father Anthony Mary preaching the Glories of Mary besides the little altar of Our Mother of Perpetual Succour. A shelf for plants was transformed into a throne for Our Lady, and her loving children filled it with their flowers. Deo Gratias et Mariae!

Our Bishop Michael Mary takes part in the procession in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary at Mt St Michael's. This procession with its long line of students and nuns truly reminds us of what the Church has lost, and how beautiful will one day be its restoration. youtu.be/KpG2xoQPQG8
