Looking for the meme from FB where a guy replied to Taco Bell saying a guy at his HS had explosive diarrhea in his pants and they called him Baja blast for the rest of the year. 5% your next custom home if anyone finds it.
What are the odds all your customers money is hacked and stolen by end of year?
Why do we feel the need to give our kids the boot at 18?
My daughter works full time here in Texas. Let me run her numbers.
State minimum wage is $7.25. She's making $16.
Forty hours a week equals $640 weekly.
That’s roughly $2,700 a month before taxes.
Texas has no state income tax—the thing they sell you on. So after federal and FICA she takes home roughly $2,300.
Average one-bedroom in our city runs about $1,550.
That’s 67% of her entire paycheck gone to rent before she eats a single meal.
Leaves her around $750 a month for:
- groceries
- gas
- car insurance
- health insurance
- phone
- emergencies
- savings
Car insurance alone eats a huge chunk of that in this state.
She works 40 hours a week and cannot save a dollar. Not because she's careless because there's nothing left to be careless with.
I spent thirty years paying off a house here. She's doing the same job I did at her age and she can't afford a basic apartment.
That's not a discipline problem. That's not avocado toast.
The floor moved and nobody lowered the ceiling.
Working full time should cover a roof. In Texas it barely covers the rent on one.
Spoke with second story addition guy and it went well. Went kind of out of order as he found the architect first (always best to have your contractor work in tandem with the architect for various reasons), but once he is does with a full construction set of plans we will hopefully get in a pre con contract and start getting prelim numbers and a plan.
My MIL is in town for Halloween and she’s making me a belated birthday pecan pie. Pretty Good Friday so far.
I was born on Black Monday, so today’s market move feels like my annual birthday party the market throws for me
This is unusual.
$INTC is down 30%, wiping out roughly $137 billion in market value.
It's on pace for its worst day ever.
Q4 guide was a disaster: $15–16B vs $17B expected, EPS $0.25 vs $0.43.
Market Tide is bleeding red and is bearish: net calls -$246M, puts +$58M.
Remembering the worst shower I ever saw. #slumlordmillionare

🚨#BREAKING: Multiple customers suffer chemical burns after a North Carolina Chili's employee mistakes an industrial cleaning chemical for salt while preparing margaritas.
You know what really bakes my beans? When people use the word “literally” and it literally isn’t literal. Also blocking people before they can comment is literally gay.

Dragonfly’s can eat about 100 mosquitos per day so get you a pet dragonfly. Like spiders they also have 360° vision.

Your house is a system. When it fails—mold, high bills, discomfort, or early rot—it’s usually because heat, air, or moisture is moving in ways we didn’t plan for. Building science is how we control those flows. It’s not complicated physics. It’s practical rules that make buildings last longer, feel better, and cost less to run.
Seeing @GrulkeLamonte join @DietCoke82 is not surprising but I also didn’t see it coming or have it on my bingo card. Lamonte like “I’m taking my talents to KC” LeBron style 💪🏼 both of you guys are winning here and look forward to see what this brings
