Shut up and get me some milk your vote doesn’t count
Looking for the meme from FB where a guy replied to Taco Bell saying a guy at his HS had explosive diarrhea in his pants and they called him Baja blast for the rest of the year. 5% your next custom home if anyone finds it.

My 4 year old asked me today “daddy why are you always home?”
😭 fahhhhhhhh
I’ll show her when we have to move to a 2br apt and the other two kids share a room and she gets the closet. 🤣
Why do we feel the need to give our kids the boot at 18?
My daughter works full time here in Texas. Let me run her numbers.
State minimum wage is $7.25. She's making $16.
Forty hours a week equals $640 weekly.
That’s roughly $2,700 a month before taxes.
Texas has no state income tax—the thing they sell you on. So after federal and FICA she takes home roughly $2,300.
Average one-bedroom in our city runs about $1,550.
That’s 67% of her entire paycheck gone to rent before she eats a single meal.
Leaves her around $750 a month for:
- groceries
- gas
- car insurance
- health insurance
- phone
- emergencies
- savings
Car insurance alone eats a huge chunk of that in this state.
She works 40 hours a week and cannot save a dollar. Not because she's careless because there's nothing left to be careless with.
I spent thirty years paying off a house here. She's doing the same job I did at her age and she can't afford a basic apartment.
That's not a discipline problem. That's not avocado toast.
The floor moved and nobody lowered the ceiling.
Working full time should cover a roof. In Texas it barely covers the rent on one.

Painting brick is like giving your walls a plastic raincoat and then wondering why they start drowning from the inside out.

You don’t have a Mason Miller esque team member to close?
Spoke with second story addition guy and it went well. Went kind of out of order as he found the architect first (always best to have your contractor work in tandem with the architect for various reasons), but once he is does with a full construction set of plans we will hopefully get in a pre con contract and start getting prelim numbers and a plan.
My MIL is in town for Halloween and she’s making me a belated birthday pecan pie. Pretty Good Friday so far.
