Electric atmosphere tonight at @hammarbyfotboll. Was very happy to introduce some of my American friends to European football with such an exciting match. I will definitely be back for more during my time in Sweden. Hammarby, you have a fan for life!

With the Nuggets starting their 7th consecutive Playoff run today, I am excited to share my Denver team analysis.
The left panel recaps their season, the red blocks provide a roster outlook, team considerations, and what I project their offseason to entail. I also listed targets.

My team and I had the honor to present at the @Sabr Analytics Conference this past weekend and I wanted to post a thread detailing our research on Pitch Decay and its applicability to a host of decision-making processes in baseball. Please comment with any questions/thoughts!

It was a blast attending the @sabr analytics conference in Phoenix this weekend. My team competed in the Diamond Dollars Competition as well as presenting our research on pitch decay. I will be posting threads in the next few days breaking down our research so keep an eye out!

Scouting: Ahmetcan Kaplan
This season, he's returned from injury and is putting in some quality performances that clubs around Europe will be looking at.
His ball-playing and aggressive tackling make him a unique option for clubs in Europe.

Chelsea's Loan Army is infamous throughout the footballing world for its carousel of players who are never given a proper look at the first team, but that strategy has to change as they focus more on recruiting and developing youth talent

Donovan Zsak impressed me on the Cape this summer, and his high-ceiling made him a great value pick by the @CleGuardians this summer. Keep an eye out for him as a fast riser in Cleveland's system.

As mentioned earlier, xPoints models underestimate the top teams and overestimate the bottom teams.
This graph from @TonyElHabr got me thinking about using models to describe football. Many xPts models (including my own) use Monte Carlo simulations, which heavily squeeze the predicted outcomes towards the middle, meaning that the difference between a top rated team and a bottom

How balanced is each PL team's attack?
I rated each team's attackers in Dribbling, Shooting, and Passing to see which teams have a versatile, well-rounded attack.
Also check out the top "triple-threat" players who excel across all three areas!

Here are the predicted results for the rest of the NIRSA Region IV East Division games using a Dixon-Coles model (that was modeled on only in-conference play).
@Tulane will look to extend their 4-0 conference record to 6-0 after games against @ULLafayette and @UHouston

Using @StatsBomb's free data, I created an xDribbles model to evaluate players' dribbling ability.
Jeremy Doku topped the metric in both Euro 2020 and 2024. Unsurprisingly, Eden Hazard was near the top in 2020 as well.
Raheem Sterling performed very poorly in 2020.

Makhi Hughes led the 🌊 in iTP nominations (10), while Michael Pratt had the most ipop Points (45).
Each game last szn, I picked 6 top performers. First top player = 6 pts, etc. I combined data sources with the eye test.*
