@Zackary_Chapple (CEO @ZephyrCloudIO): How Module Federation works
Links in reply.
I'll admit—I was a skeptic before this discussion with Zack, though now I have a much deeper understanding of module federation. I hope you have the same experience!

I played with @rspack_dev to build & serve an Angular app, do you think it would make sense to create a third-party plugin for that? The next step I want to try is Module Federation 2.0.

We have a quick start, soon we should have a @QwikDev start. Really interesting as we dig into @RollupJS / @vite_js. Its helping us prepare for @rolldown_rs too!

How fast can you go from code to something sharable with the world?
Usual workflow: (40s - > 1 minute): code -> commit -> build -> deploy -> share
With Zephyr: <2 seconds: code -> share

A demo of RSC MF, @vercel, @ZephyrCloudIO and @NxDevTools would be very interesting.
Nx has made great strides to make the local developer experience with MF as frictionless and scalable as possible, whilst Zephyr Cloud takes MF and gives it steroids.

Life is a little easier with real world examples!
With Zephyr Cloud you are able use SemVer to specify the versions of remotes that you want to use in your application. Zephyr Cloud uses versions and can override them when necessary.
Distributed frontend development has never been so easy to manage.

@rspack_dev is incredibly fast and it has Module Federation support built-in, which means that you get blazingly fast Micro-Frontends. youtu.be/32_EikGKESk And now the create-mf-app builder has added rspack support to make it easier than ever to get started.

Yep we rolled it out 3 weeks ago. Just rolled it into rsbuild too. We also introduced new features and lifecycle hooks for users to control it. You can get the upgrade of MF for webpack if needed via module-federation/enhanced and read about the new runtime powering it all under the /runtime package

✅ support Next.js App Router
✅ Expose and remotes work as expected
✅ SSR works too
❌ RSC (was this even supported?)
