If you were a fan of Castle of the Winds back in the day, consider this it's spirit successor! It contains beautiful art from his sweet wife, @QuirksDM and is riddled with great writing and hidden secrets!

The obsession with "empathy" has created a situation in which the exact opposite of empathy is mistaken for it. People who are unable to model the minds of others assume that other people only do bad things because of circumstances outside of their control. "I would never do that unless I had to, so neither would other people." That's not empathy. That's projecting your own thoughts and motivations onto others, which is the opposite of empathy.
This inability to model the minds of others hinders their ability to accept a fictional character who is motivated by things that would not motivate themselves. Such a character comes across as unbelievable to them.
