Yesterday’s match was a horror to watch and as usual there is a lot of ETH criticism out there which is fair to a certain extent. But there are somethings about the players that baffles me. Some basic traits which a professional footballer should be able to do even in sleep. There’s a serious lack of mentality in these players, they can only get up for the big games, they can’t seem to match smaller teams intensity! They don’t seem to understand that to win a game you have to earn it, you don’t have the right to win just because you play for United! They lack a serious amount of discipline when it comes to following instructions it’s clear to see! Passing- For some reasons our players doesn’t impart right tempo on the pass. Passes are either under hit or over hit. If we attempt one touch passing, we lose the ball in a few passes. Often when a player is making a run, the passes are slow or behind them. Tackling- None of our forwards can tackle. Half of our midfield can’t tackle. Even Mainoo who is good on the ball, isn’t the best in tackling. Case for some reason slides around too often Heading- We have tall players in our team who are not particularly good in the air. None of our forwards are good in the air. Scott and Maguire are decent in our box and Scott is decent in the opposite box. Barring these two, all are pathetic. Holding on to the ball/Holding off defenders- Barring Martial(always injured) and Hojlund, none of our players can hold off defenders. Rashford for his height and physique is particularly bad at this for some reason. IQ- Seems like our players have very low footballing IQ. This shows in aspects like judging the flight of the ball in air, anticipating second balls, playing telegraphed passes etc. All in all I feel we have a bunch of overhyped, over paid, under qualified players who aren’t good enough to play for us. Ofcourse Ten Hag can do better but at some point we need to realize that most of our players aren’t good enough to play good football at the highest level #GlazersOut
