A VERY short lyrical story, written on midsummer's day: -
...Season Of The Witch...
Now the days get shorter in The North
And summer shall soon be a fragrant memory
Like the scent of something or someone good
Always here but forever out of reach
I love the witchery I really do
And *czarny kot*
But the darklands lord-it over the sunny uplands
Watching.
Waiting.

''If she knew what she wants
He'd give it to her
If she knew what she needs
He'd give her that too
He's crazy for this girl
But he can't see through her
And she don't know what she's looking for
If she knew what she wants
He'd be giving it to her.''

But Chancellor Nosferatu just handed the coked-up dwarf ยฃ10bn of our money.
Given there's a billion seconds in 32 years, counting-out ten billion pound coins, at a rate of ยฃ1/second would take 320 years.
[THAT'S RIGHT: I AM bonkers-but-correct.]
Gazan terrorists soon to be arriving on LEGIT visas.

Meantime, watch the new normal. ๐

Less Amsterdam, more Weimar CABARET [or Sydney c.1990], the dancing elephant nearly takes-out the 6'7'' guitarist: from dark times to innocence, and now more irksome...yet to become darker still.

Seasonal ear-worm already, and thank you for the tag!
[Liza Minnelli/the fabulous CABARET movie cued-up for later.]
suno.com/s/iyy2tsNPcaORTDFE "My Mob's Glow!" Weimar infused circus punk. My lyrics. "For those who do not spout the catechism, Of your newly founded cult.. For those who have compassion and for whom Kindness is a fault... For those who are but kindling to an iron curtain drum ..For those that hold the power, yet have never run.." @Vict0rAlexander thought I would be brave!
Those whom we have admired the most can be the cause of self-doubt and great disappointment.
Because we're unguarded.
Conversely, the renowned 'comfort of strangers' might afford new possibilities, such that it's offered without expectation.
We live.
We learn.
We love.
We die.

Plumping the welcome mat for our Gazan Freshmen*.
[If you'll pardon the expression.]
But, looking at it PROGRESSIVELY, the beauty of it is that the unis. won't need to radicalise the new intake: quite the flourishing reverse!
With a dose of MORE decolonisation.
*And they shall be
From Gaza to OUR seas: -
They don't even bother to PRETEND it's not deliberate any more.
๐จ#BREAKING:
The British government announces it will start issuing expedited visas to Gazan students so they can move to the UK & study at British Universities.
The UK will also "establish a permanent framework for more refugee students to come study in the UK"
Most, if not all, of my friends are female; that's not a boast, it's a 'platonic' fact.
The r/l ladies I've been lucky enough to know on a more personal/private level, have always remained, well, PRIVATE: I NEVER 'tell'.
So I simply don't understand why, when I've posted on 2 separate occasions, pics of me and my female, PROFESSIONAL caregiver [now moved-on], some ladies have been weird and snippy in the comments, etc.
More'n one even took umbrage that I hadn't mentioned being unwell at the time: I'm NOT the person to 'reach-out' BEFORE something serious's been fixed.
Which it has. And's non-contagious!
This is the only time I've been so bold as to speak about ME-MYSELF-I in such a manner, in the 1st person: music, visual art/s, lyrics, poetry and my own attempts at doggerel [I hope!] tend to be more encompassing of the human condition/s that we all share.
And more subtly meaningful, IMO.
Never mind.
This shall not be mentioned again.
We all have our stories and YOUR OWN are far more important to you.
As they should be.
Gonna take a break from so many X TIMELINE posts, but it's on the desktop/workstation, so is often the apple to my serpent.
Or was it Eve?
Thanks heaps for reading and apologies for the direct line about MOI.

Libi Cohen-Meguri was murdered on October 7th at just 22 years old.
She went to dance at the Nova festival and was shot by Hamas terrorists while trying to escape on Route 232.
At 8:11 AM, she called her parents:
โIโve been shot in the stomach, Iโve been shot in the arm, Iโm losing blood. Iโm going to die.โ
In calm and heartbreaking words, she understood the end had come.
She asked to speak to her twin brother Tomer and little sister Maya:
โIโm going to die. Just listen.
I love you, Yariv โ the best dad I couldโve had.
Mom, please stop screaming, just listen โ youโre the best mom we could have asked for.
Donโt forget to be a good mom to Tomer and Maya.
Tomer, how lucky we were to live life together. I love you.
Maya, never forget you are the treasure of my life.โ
Her parents begged her to lie on the road and pretend to be dead. She did.
But the terrorists saw her move.
โMom, theyโre coming to shoot me again...โ
Screams in Arabic. A long burst of gunfire.
And the call was cut.
Alone on the road divider, her body was riddled with bullets at point-blank range.
Murdered in cold blood.
But Libi was light. Joy. Love.
A proud and outstanding IDF infantry officer, full of life and laughter, always giving to others.
Her photos radiate kindness.
Her memory will live forever.
''Sunday morning
Brings the dawning
It's just a restless feeling by my side
Early dawning
Sunday morning
There's always someone around you who'll call
'It's nothing at all'
Sunday morning
And I'm falling
I've got a feeling I don't want you to know.''

My name is Ortal Bobtas-Benayun, and I was a Jewish Israeli woman killed by Hamas on October 7th.
I survived cancer, but couldn't escape the Hamas terrorists that barbaric day as they killed and burned Jews alive at the Supernova festival.
I believed in peace, but am a victim of anti-Jewish terrorism.
Will you remember me?
