Copa is the Emirates of the Americas.
Panama has about 4.5 million people. Last year its main airport handled 21 million passengers, and roughly 7 in 10 of them were just changing planes.
Copa built that hub, and it did it with nothing but 737s.

ALT Map of the Americas centered on Panama City with rings at 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, and 3,400 miles. Every Copa destination falls inside the 3,400-mile ring. Each dot is colored by the period Copa added it: 27 before 2006, 18 from 2006 to 2010, 19 from 2011 to 2015, 8 from 2016 to 2020, and 15 from 2021 to 2026. Newer dots cluster in the U.S., Canada, and Brazil. A side list gives the farthest destinations: Montevideo at 3,396 miles, Buenos Aires at 3,325, and San Francisco at 3,321.
Central America has deserts? Sort of. Panama’s Sarigua and Guatemala’s Motagua Valley are the closest the region gets, and both are worth a stop.

Instead of cars honking or police being called. My neighbor and I just walked them back to their place and we laughed about it. That would never have been the result back in the Bay Area

Today’s helpful hint. If you are building in El Salvador, don’t forget to build hammock hooks into your building columns. Otherwise, you will have to bust your buns to drill through the wall. Apparently, the window cages don’t hold up to major hammock use. Ask me how I know that
