1874 Northwich FC are delighted to announce that Damian Crossley has been appointed as First Team Manager with immediate effect.   Damian has proven experience at NPL level, having previously been assistant manager at Buxton, Curzon Ashton and Colne and more recently First Team Coach at Warrington Rylands.   Chairman Stephen Richardson said: It is a pleasure to welcome Damian to 1874 Northwich FC. We felt that his ambition to succeed, aligned with undoubted experience and understanding of the ethos and values of 1874 Northwich FC complimented his appointment. As a Board and a Club we look forward to working closely with Damian in the future.   The Club would like to place on record our appreciation and thanks to the considerable number of applicants for the position of manager, and to our senior players Matt Woolley and Mark Jones who have guided the team superbly during this transitional period.

Very interesting initiative… challenges those who keep saying that gender bias does not exist… well done to all involved. Thank you.
I have a confession !   Last season @Heineken asked me and @jillscottjs8 to swap Twitter accounts as part of a social experiment to see if men and women are treated differently online . What happened was unfortunately predictable ! An important reminder that gender bias should have no place in our game . #fresherfootball #Ad

GDA members welcome the FM's announcement today to reopen the Independent Living Fund. The ILF plays a vital role in Scottish social care to support disabled people to live the lives they want to live. It must be fully re-opened & resourced to help tackle our social care crisis

GDA Chief Executive @tressaburke in @heraldscotland today. "GDA has over 5,500 members who are reporting all-time high poverty and burgeoning costs. This is creating panic, lack of choices and sense of control, leading to a sense of hopelessness and despair in many cases"

It’s REALLY important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally AGAINST downtown bike-lanes, later became one of their most vigourous supporters, because of EVIDENCE that bike-lanes are better for downtown business than any street parking they replace.

The current project I’m working on at @bureaulocal @TBIJ is looking at the intersection of climate change, housing and health. Please spread the word, especially to people you might know in #Southwark
Have you been too hot at home recently? Have you felt unwell or struggled to sleep? ☀️ Hot summers and unsuitable housing can be a dangerous combo – about 2,000 people die in England each year due to high temperatures thebureauinvestigates.com/bl…
