I have experienced the justice system in four countries. Slow, bureaucratic, expensive and even apathetic. But eventually they judge. The exception is India. There you must give a bribe to walk into the court room and then when you walk out. Only thing that happens is a new date.

Always blame the upper castes. Indian lower-caste people have no agency. And they are saints, brimming with justice, honor, and loyalty. (Sarcasm)
Replying to @JayantBhandari5
A lot of them are upper caste
This also has an effect on the decisions they make. If the criminal is upper caste and the judge is upper caste and the victim lower caste chances are the judge will let the Brahmin off or be soft with the sentencing.
Indian society is hell hole, you being kind and honest is seen as being fool, everyone is either getting scammed or scamming, even in the families one is not spared from thefts, lies and manipulation. The whole existence is just about saving yourself from next con artist you meet

-Fight with your siblings over basic necessities.
-Get poor education and limited opportunities.
-Struggle financially but never question the cycle.
-Get married without being financially stable.
-Have children without thinking about their future.
-Repeat exactly what your father did.
-Raise another generation in the same poverty.
-Blame the government, society and destiny for everything.
-Never break the cycle.
And then wonder why generations remain trapped in the same conditions.
