This whole discussion reads like the Sunni-Shia debate on how Fatima (ر) died.
Sunnis say she died of illness 6 months after the passing of the Prophet ﷺ
Shias say that Umar (ر) barged into Ali’s (ر) house demanding he pledge fealty to the new Caliph Abu Bakr (ر), trapping Fatima behind the door. They say a nail from the door pierced her pregnant womb and killed her unborn son Muhsin, and she died 6 months later from her wounds.
Quick Padme rant now that the prequels are trending again.
One of the things that bothers me most about Padme and also incidentally exemplifies how she really does fit the progressive, longhoused girlfriend meme is her death.
A lot of people simplify her death into "Oh Anakin killed her."
To be clear, he did not kill her.
The movie explicitly states she was physically fine but died of a broken heart.
So this woman has 2 newborn children, but she is so heartbroken over Anakin rejecting the Republic and going to the darkside that she can't even summon the will to live to raise her own babies.
Madness. Insanity. Perfect illustration of the liberal adherence to ideology over family.
Perhaps I’m just an ajami with an inexperienced ear for Jordanian dialects, but to me he genuinely sounds like an Englishman fluent in Fus7a
Jordan’s King Abdullah II on the Karak church attack:
We will not allow the Khawarij terrorists to undermine the security and unity of this nation.
These people are not of us. They have left our great Jordanian family and betrayed it. There is no place for them among us, not today and not tomorrow.
The blood of the Karak martyrs is a solemn pledge we are bound to honor.
I was just reading about Imperial Japan’s South Manchuria Railway Company, and saw that its Japanese name was “Mantetsu”, which is a portmanteau of Manshu (Manchu) and Tetsu-dō.
Tetsu means iron, and dō means way or road, as seen in Bushidō or Tokaidō. Railway in Japanese is literally “iron road”.
This reminded me of the Turkish word for railway, which is Demiryolu; demir (iron), yolu (road).
Bangladesh’s RMG economy is a prime example of wage suppression being used by an untrammelled bourgeoisie to fund their potbellied internationalist consumer habits, instead of using wage suppression for the accelerated accumulation of capital to reinvest in moving up the value-add chain.
The latter approach eventually increases overall production, which results in real-term goods price deflation and growth in labour wages.

bangladesh should make it a imprisonable offence for anyone to mention sexual violence in 1971 to prevent anglophone foids on social media from impugning the national honour for their own leftist inter-foid victim olympics
This is straight up historical revisionism lol

These were the kafir market-dominant minorities who were indispensable in financing the major trade routes of the premodern Muslim world. Barring the few mercantile ethnicities, most of whom were littoral communities, Muslims were either part of the feudal equestrian class, or peasantry (latter being the majority).
Why do Muslims treat interest-free finance like a limitation, when history proves it's a superpower?
Around 1700, Mughal India produced roughly a quarter of the world's economy, about the share the US holds today.
The Islamic gold dinar was so trusted that European kings minted copies of it, Arabic script and all.
Muslim merchants financed trade from Spain to China through partnerships, profit-sharing, and trust.
Riba-free finance wasn't a handicap those economies carried. It was the engine that built them.
The real opportunity today isn't fixing a broken system. It's reigniting belief in one that already worked brilliantly.
Nobody opens a shawarma shop thinking, "It's halal, so Muslims will show up."
The food wins on its own merits:
Better taste.
Better price.
Better experience.
Halal is simply assumed. It's not the pitch, it's the foundation.
So imagine applying that same confidence to halal finance.
History already proved it can compete, not just comply. It can lead.
Once we truly believe 0% interest finance is better, we'll build something extraordinary again.

Some of Israel’s biggest political leaders emerged from the IDF Eisenkot and Yair Golan served as generals, Bennett as a major and Netanyahu as a special forces captain
This is what nation-building through a central institution looks like, much like in Prussia of old
European colonialists emancipated Muslim women from the shackles of Islam, because the truth is that Islam does shackle women comparatively to liberal humanism.
The Great Emancipators are Lord Cromer, Lord Curzon, Napoleon, Lenin.
