What kind of #dermpath manifestations of COVID have you seen so far? We’ve seen an increase in perniosis-like acral eruptions that may or may not have focal vasculopathy and we always recommend 💉COVID status. Here’s one example I took photos of today. #dermpathJC

Research shows that fluids spread when coughing/sneezing are a big transmitter of COVID-19. Each of us needs to do what we can to stop the spread. One easy thing we all can do, today, is wear homemade masks in public. My mask could help you, your mask could help me. #Masks4All

Angiosarcoma. Excellent gross & microscopic images from David Lucas, MD. Also to note, predisposing factors for angiosarcomas include: radiation, chronic lymphedema, exposure to toxins (vinyl chloride) & non-functioning long-standing arteriovenous fistulas. #dermpath #dermpathJC

A mentor once told me they didn’t believe complete excision was always essential for AVL. If solitary i like small excision mainly so I can see entire lesion. I recently had case with 100+ AVL...exc not feasible. Clinical pic = crucial. And I want close follow up. #Dermpathjc – at North Little Rock, AR

Atypical vascular lesions (AVL) - Figs 9,10,11 - usually superficial to mid dermis, some can be deeper. Recommend complete excision. No clear guidelines, but 1cm 👌🏼. Often recur and rarely rarely rarely progression to angiosarcoma. #dermpathJC #dermpath
