Yeah that's a fail. It sometimes doesn't merge well for me when using on-ramps, but it's much better than it used to be.
Let me get this straight, we are calling this SI, but it can't even figure out how to be as efficient as possible with the tokens?
I'm getting sick of this "You aren't using tokens efficiently". This is super intelligence. It should be built into the model. I shouldn't have to be constantly thinking about the tokens.
You think when normies start using agents they are going to want to think about being efficient with token use?
No! The model needs to be as efficient as possible and offer suggestions if someone is concerned about running out.
In the long run the model needs to do a job with as little tokens as possible for the quality the person wants.
I'm conscientious about token usage. I don't know much about how agents work, but I'm not a noob. With @muse I can literally do at least 10x what I am doing with grokbot and it's free. For grok I'm paying $30/month.
Grokbot is definitely better, I'm just saying that the given tokens is way too low to use it for what I want it for.
If you want to fully jump into having an AI assistant then you need to go with a company that gives you enough tokens at a reasonable price. I love Grokbot, but the limits are nowhere near enough.
So if you use @bot then you are going to be stressed every day that you are using too many tokens. Then you run out and just don't have an assistant for a few days when you started to rely on it for some basic things.
Some of us are trying to make due by using multiple services. @muse is free and really good and has tons of free usage, but grokbot is much faster and capable with complex things.
Is hard to justify going up to the $100 a month plan when I can use muse.
So for right now I'm using muse for most of my heavy token stuff and keeping grokbot for other tasks.
This is exactly what I'm thinking! They just got rid of the big chunk of regular grok usage and everything is now under the grok bot usage. I think they upped the grokbot usage a little, but overall it is way less now.
It feels like they didn't add all the previous usage levels together. They just put everything under the average cap. Likely Grok Bot was the usage level that carried over and now Chat and "Other" have to live within that same smaller limit. Was looking forward to trying Grok Build, but I don't think I have room for it with my modest Bot and Chat usage.

I’m listening to the Tesla call now, and realizing that nothing any of these guys are saying means anything to me at all. And I love these guys, genuinely. I think they just messed up by being so carelessly bullish on all of these products without actually knowing whether anything they said would come true when they said it would.
I wish I could care about what they say, but it’s just totally meaningless now because of how many times I’ve heard them say things that didn’t actually come true. You’d have to be some level of delusional to hear them say “next year, next summer, Q2 2027” and feel any genuine excitement or belief that it’ll actually come true. Love em, but it’s their fault that this is true. Nothing I can do about it unless I’m willing to be irrational and not pay attention to data and obvious patterns.
I do fully believe in this company and do think they are on a warpath that they will win. But these calls are just a total joke and waste of time really. You can’t actually take anything said in them seriously.
Clearly Elon only cares about making money! Look at his yachts, mansions, elaborate parties, fancy clothes, and expensive vacations!
