I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

So the figures make it clear. Anyone who is pro-migration from these regions, is pro-sexual assault.
Politicians and NGO’s have deliberately put British women in danger. This was an act of extreme hostility.

Orla, this is deranged.
Joe has done nothing wrong as far as I can see, and has not attacked you in any way.
I'll include his reply to this in the comments, but you should delete this post and apologise to him at the earliest opportunity.

My son used to do stand up comedy for a hobby, so I'm going to share one of his jokes. A man comes home from work and tells his wife the postman said he's had sex with every woman on the block except for one. And she answered it's probably Claire.

An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week.
Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461.
This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc.
This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed.
It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them.
What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%!
We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons.
This will not end well.

Hey @bphillipsonMP: Is the 14 year old boy a misogynist or is Judge Ian Lawrie KC? Maybe both?
A girl said no to a boy.
The attack was ‘premeditated, persistent and terrifying’. Tagging the knife wielding boy between 7pm & 6am wouldn’t stop him repeating his ‘morning stabbing’.
The time for talk has long passed. This government is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting women and girls.
We'll back practical action to confine misogyny to the history books - in public services, workplaces, and online.

In the movie Liar, Liar, Jim Carrey is a scumbag attorney who loses the ability to lie. It leads to an exchange with the judge, in which Carrey objects to a piece of evidence, and the judge asks for his justification. Stripped of his ability to lie, Carrey blurts out:
"Because it's devestating to my case!"
"Problematic" is just that exchange condensed down into one word.
It's simply a whiny complaint that the data refutes their world view and leads to ideas beyond the liberal orthodoxy.
If the data being provided were untrue, they would simply say that. It's when the data is obviously true to anybody with functioning eyeballs that you get the claim of "Problematic".
Now "Problematic" comes in different flavors:
"13/58" is problematic because of "socioeconomic factors".
"Immigration suppresses wages" is "Problematic" because of "Xenophobia".
Any piece of evidence that is anything other than fully approved by an appropriate authority will be labeled as "Problematic".
What makes this example particularly amusing is that even after making the most generous assumptions possible, torturing the data beyond recognition, and completely ignoring every other study that says the same thing, her grand conclusion is:
"You liar, Afghans, don't rape 10x as much as the native English, they only rape 3x as much as the native English, take that Chud!"
It's especially wild to claim that age demographics are artificially inflating the number of Afghan rapes. Meanwhile anybody that spent a week on Afghanistan soil knows that if you were to increase the number of young boys running around Afghan men, that the number of actual (probably not reported) rapes on British soil would go to the moon.

So men from barbaric backward women-hating Third World shitholes are "no more likely" to rape women than White British men are? Does that seem likely? Use your common sense and have a think about it.
