It's very clear that the emphasis for Murray and Jokic from the start of the season has been on becoming consistent two-way players.
Jamal has adjusted quickly, while Jokic is still adapting. It'll probably take longer than most of us expect, which means he might not even be in the MVP conversation this season.
The bench depth is better than anyone expected. Marvin Bagley is showing glimpses of why he was such a high draft pick. Ever since leaving Sacramento, he's quietly improved year over year, and finally getting to play on a contender seems to be boosting his confidence.
Trevon Brazile and Bryce Hopkins might be the best value-for-draft-position picks the Nuggets have made since Jokic.
DeMar is an amazing LOW TO passer(when he wants to be) , while Spencer Jones improves the spacing and raises the defensive floor of the second unit, potentially taking the 2nd unit from "OK" to "consistently great."
The Nuggets are 4-1 in their last five games, with two straight games in which both the starters and the second unit have finished with positive plus-minus.
Where's the "Trade Jamal for FMVP JB" crowd at now?
Boy, some of you sure stank up the offseason trade talks with that nonsense.
Jokic seems to have traded offensive movement speed for defensive speed. Jamal peaking?
AG looks fine👍. CB is slightly slower on both ends, hmm..🤔
Edit: Interesting note from the 2024–25 season, when the team collectively played MUCH faster on offense and slower on defense.

Fuck! He’s starting to learn how to pass. The only way to stop him now is if Trump starts deporting Canadians for reasons unknown
SYBAU. Jokic FC has been supportive of Luka this year. Trust me, kid, you don't want us coming at ya.

Tyus, DeRozan, Jokić, and Murray combined tonight:
25 Assists
2 Turnovers
12.5 AST/TO Ratio
86.2% of Denver's total assists
Amazing how easy it can be to win when you keep turnovers low, despite the starters building the Great Wall of China with all those bricks.
It annoys me when Jokic faces DPOY level players and the game plan is basically, “Jokic 1-on-1, tough buckets, show him what you’ve got,” instead of working the floaters over and over and creating easy shots FOR Jokić.
It’s beyond frustrating and, frankly, low-IQ game planning.
Jokic goes from AGI to ChatGPT 2.1 whenever he passes to DeRozan in the corner.

Both the starters and second unit played great in the first half.
Unfortunately, the trend over the past two years has been worse defense in the second half.
Anyway, there are no easy wins this season. Teams play hard.
2nd consecutive game with both the starters and bench posting positive minutes. Build on it.
