For Christmas my Mom framed pin flags from golf courses I’ve worked, interned, or volunteered at since I started in turf at 12. Beyond blessed for all who have given me these opportunities thus far. Grateful for the past, excited for the future.

One of America's flourishing 36-hole clubs: Hermitage Country Club in Manakin Sabot, Virginia. Director of agronomy Brent Graham leads a team responsible for maintaining 100 acres of short-cut turf on contrasting Ed Ault and Arthur Hills-designed courses.
Stoked to announce that I will joining the maintenance team at Hermitage CC as 1st. Assistant on The Sabot in September. Truly a full circle moment to work for Brent Graham again at a new place and with a seat at the table. Let’s get the ball rolling!

Fully understanding the golf maintenance story requires observing people endure their toughest stretches. Scenes from this week’s visit to Virginia, where grit, ingenuity, camaraderie and humanity help amazing people overcome enormous challenges induced by stifling conditions.
Spent last week at Hazeltine for the @KPMGWomensPGA with a few @VTTurfgrass guys for @AidenMueller04 first tournament as an assistant. Proud of my man and all he’s doing up in Minnesota.
Been busy the last few weeks down here at @21golfclub. The property, the place, and the people are all surreal and I’m grateful to be apart of it all. Pre-plant down today and sprigs tomorrow…. Let’s get after it!

Successfully defended my master’s thesis today! Beyond thankful for my committee and their support every step of the way. Grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had as a master’s student at Virginia Tech and I’m excited to continue working on a Ph.D at Penn State!
