Halfway through Season 1 of the ValueChain L1 phase on @sodex_official , and the SoPoint grind is still going.
I closed week 9 with 34 SoPoints and a top 0.49% ranking. Not my biggest week, but considering the volume I put in, I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. Still enough to keep me inside the top 0.5%.
Week 10 is already live, and I've crossed $22K in futures volume, plus some spot activity. However, I'm not looking to maintain that pace.
Yesterday's market dip took a decent chunk out of my PnL. Nothing catastrophic, but enough to remind me that chasing leaderboard positions isn't worth forcing trades. I'll be taking a lighter approach over the next 10 weeks, being more selective with my entries and focusing on protecting capital.
The SoPoints are nice, and there's still a lot to explore with the vaults, but there's no point farming rewards while giving back more in trading losses.
On the RWA side, I've also been exploring the CXMT Vault. I redeemed a small position successfully and locked some sSOSO towards the vault for the longer term curator share.
The on chain flow works pretty smoothly. Of course, this isn't direct stock ownership; it's curator backed exposure with its own fee structure. Still, it's an interesting way to gain price exposure to a Chinese STAR Market company that many of us wouldn't ordinarily have access to.
I'm also keeping an eye on the difference between the displayed price and the actual redemption price.
Overall, the ValueChain L1 phase feels like more than just another points farm. We've got the order book, vault products, voting layer and weekly SoPoint distributions all coming together within the same ecosystem.
The big question now is whether the rewards will remain attractive as participation increases during the second half of the season.
For now, my strategy is simple: lower volume, selective vault exposure, better risk management and staying active without forcing trades into every market move.
If you're still grinding Season 1 on @sodex_official , the halfway mark is a good time to review your volume to SoPoint ratio and adjust your strategy for the remaining weeks.
Farm smart, protect your PnL, there's still a long way to go.
If you are new to @sodex_official Now's a great time to get started! Join me, start trading, earn SoPoints and let's make the most of Season 1. ๐

Paying for an AI to produce an answer and requiring someone to back that answer are two very different economic decisions.
I would record them as two separate entries because they solve different problems.
The first is an operational expense. When someone uses GenLayer, GEN pays for the computation, AI inference, and validation involved in producing a verdict. These resources make the actual work possible.
The second is an economic commitment. Validators must lock GEN before receiving voting rights in a case. Their role is not simply to run an AI model and return an output. They participate in the network's judgment process.
Why separate these two?
Because paying for an AI inference does not establish who is economically committed to participating in the judgment. Without a staking requirement, one operator could potentially create multiple AI judges and attempt to dominate a case.
Locking GEN makes that kind of participation economically constrained. It connects the right to take part in a judgment with an actual commitment, rather than treating every additional AI instance as an independent, cost-free participant.
This is an important part of why GEN exists in @GenLayer. It serves different purposes across the ecosystem: users pay for network services, validators lock it to participate in judgments, and builders earn it when their contracts are used.
The distinction is simple, but important: funding the work and committing to participate in the decision are not the same transaction.
Should the cost of producing an AI decision and the economic commitment of participating in it always be measured separately?
Vera Williams retweeted
A decision can be made by one participant, while the consequences are experienced by someone completely different.
That creates an economic question worth considering: what incentives does the decision-maker have when other people bear the consequences?
This matters when AI becomes part of a network's decision process. Generating an answer is relatively easy, but participating in a judgment that affects other participants introduces a different responsibility.
@GenLayer approaches this through its validator design. Validators use different AI models to judge cases, but they cannot simply participate without an economic commitment. They must lock GEN before receiving voting rights.
Why does that matter?
Without a meaningful participation requirement, an operator could potentially create multiple validator identities and try to influence decisions without committing meaningful resources to the process.
GEN staking changes the conditions of participation. A validator has something economically committed to the role it performs, rather than being able to treat every additional judgment as a consequence-free activity.
There is an important distinction here: economic commitment does not guarantee that an AI model will always reach the correct conclusion. It is part of the incentive and accountability design, not proof of perfect judgment.
That is one reason GEN exists beyond simply being a payment token. It connects validator participation with economic commitment, while users pay for computation, AI inference and validation, and builders earn GEN when their contracts are used.
A decision system should consider not only how an answer is produced, but also the incentives of those participating in the decision.
When an automated decision affects other people, should its decision-makers share some economic responsibility?

NFT auctions can get complicated when participants start adjusting their bids based on what everyone else is offering.
@FungoLabs is approaching this differently with its Genesis auction.
The model uses sealed bids and a single clearing price, meaning the highest bidders secure the available NFTs, but every winner pays the same final price.
Hereโs what makes this mechanism interesting:
โ You can bid based on what the NFT is worth to you.
โ Winning bidders share one final clearing price.
โ If your bid exceeds that price, the extra amount is refunded.
โ If your bid doesnโt qualify, your funds are returned.
For example, if only 3 NFTs are available, the three highest bidders win, while the lowest winning bid determines the price everyone pays.
I like how this approach removes some of the pressure to keep reacting to competing bids.
It makes the auction more focused on individual valuation rather than bidding wars.
With its Genesis collection and Launchpad, @FungoLabs is experimenting with a different way to approach NFT distribution.
Definitely an interesting mechanism to follow, especially with privacy technology powered by @zama.

1,000,000 $vAPI allocated to one campaign. Here's how to get involved. ๐
I've been looking at the rewards campaign from @vAPI_Network and one thing I like is that getting started doesn't require you to figure everything out on your own.
The campaign has allocated 1M $vAPI currently valued at approximately $58K
If this is your first time using vAPI, here's how to find your way around.
1. First, open the campaign page:
api.vapinetwork.ai/earn?ref=โฆ
1. Next, set up your vAPI ID.
When the page opens, follow the pop-up instructions to create your ID. Complete the setup before moving on.
2. Now, find the quests.
Scroll down the page and you'll see the available tasks.
Tap on a task to see what it requires, follow the instructions, and complete it to earn points.
4. One more thing: remember your daily check-in.
Come back each day to claim your daily points. You can also check the page for other available tasks and activities.
That's how you get started.
Set up your ID, explore the quests, complete the activities and stay active in the campaign.
If you've been meaning to check out vAPI Network, this gives you a simple place to begin.
