There will never be a better photo of me taken ever. This is my entire spirit and identity in a single image. (Photo by @fmohyu) Thanks to @FremdVikings for having me this week for my third visit to Writers Week!
ALT A photo of Mark masked and in a beanie, speaking into a microphone on a stage, while approaching someone in the audience. In the background, projected on a screen, is the image of SpongeBob screaming, his face pulled back as if he’s traveling at a high rate of speed.

Honored to have been able to talk to High School students today about my book, my writing journey, and the value of being vulnerable with oneself. @WritersWeekFHS

It's the 28TH @WritersWeekFHS at @FremdVikings & today is a favorite day - students courageously share their writing on stage, in front of their peers, each period! Student inspired today, yesterday & can't wait for more writing celebration the rest of the week! #ww28 #fhsspirit

First in-person gig in 2 years! What a way to spend my birthday! Thank you @WritersWeekFHS—granddaddy of all High School writing fests! The mighty @kiss and the mighty @rushtheband performed in this very gym in April 1975! I wonder if @genesimmons or @PaulStanleyLive remember it?

Awesome! Shoutout & TY @WritersWeekFHS for inviting me back. A few yrs since I was last there. The youth r our future & we can learn so much from them. I always do. They have a lot of insight, more than we give them credit for. The band was w/me in spirit. youtube.com/watch?v=JvA7XrUG…

So grateful to be able to spend the day at @WritersWeekFHS today with these two and so many other inspiring teachers, students, and writers. It’s always good to revisit my roots and spend time with the people who have helped me be who I am.
