One of the best artistic renditions of the "live and let live" attitude that is at the heart of the traditional American ethos. From one of the best Westerns ever made, Clint Eastwood's "The Outlaw Josey Wales".

OHH MY GOD 🚨 The ‘conspiracy theorists’ were right again
The Electronic Ear Tag on cattle that recently passed has NOTHING to do with disease traceability, the real reason is a new tax per cattle and to SLAUGHTER 10’s OF THOUSANDS OF CATTLE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
Rep Harriet Hageman “The USDA for several years has been trying to force our cattle and bison producers to use what are called RFID or EID ear tags, electronic identification, ear tags. They wanna chip them all. I've been fighting against this, and they say it's for disease traceability.”
(She explains in the video how we already have excellent disease traceability)
“So you look at all of that, and so you think, okay, what is this really about?
And then you start looking at the countries that have implemented this. Ireland implemented in it in early 2022. By August 23, they were issuing an order that they had to slaughter 41,000 head of cattle. Not because of a disease outbreak, but BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING
In Denmark, they adopted an EID mandate. And last year they imposed a $100 a head tax on every single head of cattle in the country, not because of a disease outbreak, BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING ”
“So what you start seeing is how they use this information. This is a $1.2 - $1.9 billion tax on the cattle industry if it's actually implemented a 100%”

Now that the rut is over the big guys can start to eat and try to put some weight on for winter.
Meet Madam Jeanne Louise Calment, who had the longest confirmed human lifespan: 122 years, 164 days. Apparently, fate strongly approved of the way she lived her life. She was born in Arles, France, on February 21, 1875. The Eiffel Tower was built when she was 14 years old.
When she was 85, she took up fencing, and still rode her bike when she reached 100. At the age of 114, she starred in a film about her life, at age 115 she had an operation on her hip, and at age 117 she gave up smoking, having started at the age of 21 in 1896. She didn't give it up for health reasons; her reason was that she didn't like having to ask someone to help her light a cigarette once she was nearly blind.
Jeanne retained sharp mental faculties. When she was asked on her 120th birthday what kind of future she expected to have. Her reply, "A very short one."
Here are the Rules of Life from Jeanne Louise Calment:
"I'm in love with wine."
"All babies are beautiful."
"I think I will die of laughter."
"I've been forgotten by our Good Lord."
"I've got only one wrinkle, and I'm sitting on it."
"I never wear mascara; I laugh until I cry often."
"If you can't change something, don't worry about it."
"Always keep your smile. That's how I explain my long life."
"I see badly, I hear badly, and I feel bad, but everything's fine."
"I have a huge desire to live and a big appetite, especially for sweets."
"I have legs of iron, but to tell you the truth, they're starting to rust and buckle a bit."
"I took pleasure when I could. I acted clearly and morally and without regret. I'm very lucky."
“Being young is a state of mind, it doesn’t depend on one’s body. I’m actually still a young girl, it's just that I haven't looked so good for the past 70 years."
At the end of one interview, the journalist said, "Madame, I hope we will meet again sometime next year." To which Jeanne replied, "Why not? You're not that old; you'll still be here!”
I hope you enjoyed this little story and it inspires you to not take life too seriously, and live a little like Jeanne. And please remember growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.

Good mernin and happy Thursday to my early risers, night owls, insomniacs, neurospicy besties, and other tired biologicals.
Our compact stormy storm is scooting away, sunshine returns, and most of us get a break from the precipitation. Those of you who had precipitation anyway LOL
However, the sun coming out does not magically turn a snowy mountain road into a dry mountain road. Please allow the pavement time to process its feelings.
SE Wyoming & I-80: Sunshine and generally light winds, with Cheyenne around 52–56° and Laramie 48–52°. More clouds arrive Thursday evening, but the daytime forecast is pretty cooperative.
Western Slope: Grand Junction reaches 53–57° and Montrose 51–55°, with sunshine returning and patchy morning valley fog. Parts of southwest Colorado are still dealing with elevated rivers and lingering flood impacts. Improving weather does not cancel road closures or make flooded areas safe. Keep following local guidance.
Front Range, foothills & I-25: Denver reaches 56–60°, with Conifer and most communities in the foothills around 46–50°. Mostly sunny and mostly dry. Our foothills include Conifer, Evergreen, Nederland and Estes Park, generally between 6,000 and 9,000 feet west of I-25. I'll continue to repeat this until it sinks into your noggins.
Areas that receive overnight snurfall could start the day with slick spots, especially farther south and along portions of Hwy 285 and Hwy 24.
Eastern plains, including western Nebrasky and Kansas: A few showers could linger across far southeastern Colorado early, then skies clear. Sterling reaches 58–62°, while Burlington stays cooler at 49–53°. North winds locally reach 10–20 mph. The northeast plains largely miss the departing precipitation.
Southern & southwest mountains: Any lingering early snow tapers, then sunshine returns. Highs range from the 20s to 40s depending on elevation, with locally slick high passes.
Central mountains: This is where the early travel forecast needs the most attention. Overnight snow can leave slick conditions through Park County and over the higher passes, even after the flakes stop. Skies clear, with highs generally in the 30s to 50s across passes and valleys, colder on the highest peaks. Check your route before leaving and give the plows room. Don't be a dumb dumb.
Northern mountains: Mostly sunny, with patchy morning valley fog. Highs generally range from the 30s to 50s, colder on the high peaks. Leftover slick spots favor areas closer to I-70, with much less precipitation farther north.
Medium & long range forecast:
Another weak disturbance passes through Friday into early Saturday. Most places stay dry, but a few mountain showers remain possible. There’s still some disagreement about its track, particularly across southern Colorado, so I’m keeping those chances limited for meow.
Sunday into early next week looks drier and warmer as high pressure builds. Denver has a good shot at the 60s, with warmer weather across the plains as well. Confidence in that warming trend is better than confidence in exactly where Friday’s scattered showers might develop.
This will help give our communities in Southern and Southwest Colorado a chance to dry out and clean up from the recent flooding.
The subtropical jet due to El Niño is expected to continue to strengthen as we head deeper into November and December. The point? This stretch of dry weather as high pressure builds in is only temporary.
I'll let you know when the pattern flips again.
I’ll keep you posted. I've got my caffeinated eyeballs all over it.
It's okay to believe in life after love.
